CIA under State Dept cover illegally smuggling arms from Libya to Syria thru Turkey get attacked leaving one ambassador and 3 CIA spooks dead.

What's left to uncover. Everyone knows the truth, they just won't report it.

Is there a transcript of this interview available?

If so, I think it's definitely worth emailing (with YouTube link included) to therightscoop.com, HotAir, etc. for those of us who like to send stories to drudge & other news sites

i think Rand's reframing of Benghazi by refocusing back on what the heck the CIA was doing there is not only strategically sharp but politically beneficial (as I think it will remind the conservative netroots why they liked him so much ... aka before he began talking "wi shy washy" about social issues, Ukraine, immigration, etc.)

n.b. I don't actually think Rand softened his positions, but the past couple months of mostly negative headlines (which is all +80% of people read) by "conservative" bloggers (like allahpundit, who could've highlighted a number of red-meat responses that Rand delivered during his hourlong interviews & Q&As at Berkley, Chicago/Axelrod and Harvard, but instead went with only the most divisive issues like abortion) have definitely had a negative impact on netroots perception/opinion of Rand.

I was very happy to see Rand raise that direct question. Don't know if he has done that in previous discussions of the Benghazi incident.

Same! He's always been super interested in the weapons-running aspect of the Benghazi story/cover-up/scandal** but never quite so straight-forwardly (or confidently) as he was in this interview.

**I think the reasons for why Rand is so interested in the weapons-running aspect of Benghazi is because it further helps him connect the dots between the illegal/undeclared/unconstitutional air-war against Libya and his non-interventionist (aka "Realist") foreign policy.

Rand is without-a-doubt going to use Libya to a.) repel most every neocon/establishment attack against him and b.) EVISCERATE anyone other 2016 contender who attempts to assail him during the debates for being an "isolationist" or "weak on defense".

Even without the weapons-running component, Libya (and Benghazi) provides Rand with an almost perfect case-study for everything that's wrong with neocon/pro-war chest beating. But with it, Rand will be able to expand the number of "unintended consequences" that can be *directly* linked back to the removal of Gaddafi (e.g. the all-out civil war in Syria and the deaths of thousands of innocent civilians, the arming of Al Qaeda Jihadis & Muslim extremists throughout the middle east, etc.).

Thanks for the link to the Breitbart article, it is very good

Well worth reading in its entirety, here is a salient quote:

Furthermore, Paul asserted: We need to make sure something like this never happens again. Some big mistakes were made under Hillary Clinton’s watch. The first mistake was, I think, in the middle of a civil war, they should have never had this embassy or consulate under state department command. I would’ve had it under military command. But so many times, people asked Hillary Clinton for more security, and it was turned down. Someone needs to ultimately accept responsibility for this, in order for us to say, you know, that we're not gonna let this happen again.

I like how Rand name drops Greg Brannon several times but is careful never to actually mention his primary opponent by name.
