I'm sure some of the other cable news networks such as Fox News will be covering it as well.

Tweet says coverage will begin at noon ET.

But C-SPAN schedule shows coverage starts at 11:30 ET, so tune in then I guess.

Yahoo! Watch live: Rand Paul's presidential announcement 11:30 AM EDT

Yahoo Global News Anchor Katie Couric will host a special livestream of Paul’s speech beginning at 11:30 a.m. EDT, with analysis by Yahoo News’ Andrew Romano live from Kentucky, and Yahoo News’ Jon Ward and Washington Post political reporter Karen Tumulty live from Washington. Tune-in here.

By Dylan Stableford

Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul made it official Tuesday, announcing on his website that he will will run for president in 2016. The notice appeared hours before the candidate was set to host a speech in downtown Louisville.

“I am running for president to return our country to the principles of liberty and limited government,” Paul said in a quote posted on RandPaul.com. His formal announcement speech is expected to kick off around 11:30 Tuesday. Paul, a tea party favorite and libertarian Republican candidate, joins Texas Sen. Ted Cruz as the second major figure to launch a campaign for the GOP nomination.

The 52-year-old follows in the footsteps of his father, former Texas representative Ron Paul, who served nearly 40 years in the U.S. House and ran three unsuccessful bids for the presidency.

its 8am out west now, and local news is already saying he announced....

Hopefully that means no hard feelings and he will get behind Rand.

Campaign Carl is reporting live from the event now on Fox News.

edit: now a panel discussion about Rand

AOL said he'd announced; but the article just said he was going to. So it's in like half an hour, right? He's up to over $55K in donations. Anyone got a Rand Bingo game going for this? (or drinking game) "the interesting thing is..." willy-nilly" etc?
Think I'll pull up C-Span and see if anyone's in Chat.

I see Ron and Carol on CSPAN split screen right now.
