It's interesting that she mixed in well accepted (and proven) conspiracy theories with the "fringe" ones. Yeah everybody knows the government's buying up unprecedented levels of ammunition. That's a fact. Her reaction? Attack the implications of the facts. (You don't really think the government is buying up all of that ammo to kill you with do you?)

The funny think is, she's actually mainstreaming Alex Jones. Anyone with a lick of sense knows there's something screwy with the ammo buy. The government is on sequestration, yet it can afford to buy billions of rounds of the most expensive ammo it can?

The facts don't lie Rachel Madcow. And just because your audience is so trusting of Obama and scared of the "right wing nuts" not to care, doesn't mean that rank and file independent Americans aren't seeing the writing on the wall. And why was the government buying MRAPs? Oh, I'm sure now they'll say "Well you see? We have IEDs going off in 'merika!" But the purchase was made before the Boston bombing just like the purchase of the rapescan machines was done before the underwear bomber was let on the plane.
