[Video] Peter Schiff "Undercover" at the DNC - Let's Ban Profits!

Well yeah but youd think the press committe (do they have one of those?) would look up what schiff radio is before they grant him the pass.

They probably get *far* too many press credentials applications for them to vett on a case-by-case "litmus test" basis.

But after a trolling of such epic proportions as this, they might very well "red flag" him for future conventions!

Van Jones seemed to be aware of who he was, at any rate ...

lol. What did he say to the woman at the end to make her think he was one of the smartest people down there? I need to hear the talking points he used.

Is there anybody that does the Stephen Colbert thing, but satirizing liberals instead of republicans?

Those people are...delegates?

This is a perfect example of why democracy is a horrible idea. It's not just mob rule, it's braindead masses rule.

meh-too easy. this is what the left is famous for pulling. schiff can do better. you don't go to a football game and ask the cheerleaders to explain a prevent defense.

By capping profits, I'd imagine that some of them meant limiting CEO pay (which is dumb).

Who the hell would invest in a company if there will be crummy returns? Don't those people know that businesses need capital to grow? Do they all think that government and small businesses is all that an economy needs? Yeah, maybe in a 3rd world country.

Forgive them, for they know not what they say.

you don't go to a football game and ask the cheerleaders to explain a prevent defense.

But if you did, I bet you'd find more cheerleaders who *could* explain prevent defense than you could find DNC delegates who could explain basic principles of sound economics.

And I'm willing to bet that most cheerleaders who don't understand prevent defense won't try to pretend that they do - and insist that the coaching staff take them seriously, to boot.

Banning corporate profits = 100% corporate income tax

I like the simplicity of this equation. But the real problem is that they think the problem simply ends there. It isn't actually a conclusion. Why the hell would the owners of a corporation operate if there is zero incentive (profitability) to run it? Is that greedy? By that same logic anyone that performs anything for anyone for something is greedy. This logic is flawed since it somehow arbitrarily "kicks in" once people make higher than average wages (this is called envy boys and girls). I love how people only look through the eyes of the mainstream consumer. I love how I could almost guarantee that 99% of these individuals would probably shut up if it was them on the 100th floor of some snazy building wearing thousand dollar suits. I love how these same idiots simply clamor and rave for more and bigger government yet it's the god damned government that props up the fucking corporations they hate so god damned much! It's brilliant!

These same people would be first ones wanting to bail out the corporations when they start to fail.

as a former liberal...

why should a company's CEO or board get million of dollars a year, while its hard working employees get 30-50k a year?

But now...

if a company treat's it's employees as trash, then dont buy from the company and maybe it'll go out of business.
Can't force a company to treat it's employees well. The CEO of Lenovo in China got like a 14million USD bonus for increased profits gained for the company. I believe he gave all his employees a 300 USD bonus for the month. 300 USD is a lot of money in some parts of china.

Wish there were "Ron Paul democrats"

while watching the video I am laughing but inside I could feel the stress start building as my mind was realizing that yes there are people out there that are really this stupid... and they vote :(

As a former liberal too (and not trying to be an apologist), you have give them a little break in understanding why they'd wish for no corporate profits. Most liberals see the market as totally rigged in big corporation's favor (which I totally agree it is), so that is allowing big corps to make "obscene" profits and so in their eyes, one way to counteract this unfair advantage given to big corps would be the idea to "ban" corporate profits.
