VIDEO: Judge Napolitano vs. Stossel (NSA Spying)

Wow I defended Stossel previously, but he said this wasn't unconstitutional? WTF... you've got to be kidding.

Worse. He said he didn't care. It didn't keep him up late. He cares soooooo....much about the constitution that he's ready to repeal the civil rights act, but he cares so little that he doesn't mind throwing out the bill of rights just to be "safe".

But don't get him started on price gouging, gay marriage, and the Pentagon's 26pg Brownie recipe. THAT'S the line!

I like Stossel but he is a major disappointment here. According to his list, he is more concerned about Pompous Ceremonies than the 4th Amendment being violated. If he isn't worked up about it, fine, but at least admit that those who are worked up are in the right. He takes the position that since he assumed they were violating the Constitution already anyway, that makes it alright. He is being a fool, but I still like him for other subjects.

This really shows that some people get it 100% and many others get it in varying degrees. We can build alliances with those that are 90% or 80% there and keep influencing them.

Although I think John is very wrong here, I still like him and think he's mostly one of us. I'm not gonna throw out the baby with the bathwater.

He is worried about one million people being killed in New York harbor so we have to destroy our liberty to stop it from happening. How many Americans died on battlefields in order to gain, preserve, and defend that same freedom? I can tell you it was more than a million. Why is it so different when we ask civilians to risk losing their lives to preserve freedom? This country needs to remember what we used to believe; that some things are worth dying for. That liberty should be more precious to us than our life. I guess that isn't true anymore. Besides we have become so distracted that we stopped reminding Americans why we face this "threat" of being attacked by terrorists. I forget how great Ron Paul is because he always works America's foreign policy into his speeches and answers.

perhaps stossel is being sarcastic? this clip here didn't strike me as a guy who was any sort of serious about his position. He basically said exactly what you'd expect someone to say who has been MSM propagandized.

Only 8000 American soldiers/militia died in the battle fields during the revolutionary war, not millions.

@ 4:00, Stuart Varney states "We are going to face nuclear terrorism, very soon."

How does he know this?

FOX NEWS ALERT:

YOU WILL BE SCARED. YOU WILL BE OUTRAGED. YOU WILL BE IMBUED WITH FALSE PRIDE. YOU WILL JUMP TO CONCLUSIONS WE SUGGEST.

Take your pick:

A) Fox told Stossel to tow the line on NSA scandal.

B) Chilling effect -- Stossel is scared of what the NSA has on him.

C) Stossel has been bought out by a third party.

D) He really just couldn't get worked up . . .

stossel looks like a frightened kitten lol.

Stossel is a great guy and a defender of liberty but this doesnt seem like him at all. Its almost as if they got to hiwefjr bgrebvarwefwg000011111000001111000000111100000111000011111000011110000111*FEDLUV.exe*101010111111

The government is great, the government loves us, all hail the government.

Wow, I thought it was bad when stossel came out saying it wasn't his "top concern" but this is absurd. Stossel, YOU ARE A TRAITOR!!! I really liked all the stuff you did before this, but your attack on liberty was completely out of line and especially harmful to the liberty movement. Remember, the most damage is done by those who are pragmatic(not those who are ideological opposites). The 4th ammendment is very clear:

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized

Another option: He is actually playing Devil's advocate like he does on his shows, this time on a larger scale.
