[video] Judge Napolitano Talks About Daily Show Hit Piece, Pope, Constitution, and Basic Econ

Didn't the judges argument ultimately hinge on whether the south would have actually accepteed $3 billion to end slavery? I think the penelists were probably right that the south would not have accepted that lump sum in exchange to fundamentally alter their economy.

Anyway, the ending was pretty powerful. Our government likes to talk about the rights of Egyptian and Ukrainian protesters, but how will they react when they have a similar situation on their doorstep?

I hate anecdotes (usually), because they only tell something from a positive (or negative, depending on the point to be drawn) point of view of the orator (without extending considerations). The roof repair may have been done using capitalistic methods (and it was quite a bill) but what economic model/method was used to construct the building to start with? (what model was used to construct the greater pyramids?)
