[VIDEO] ~ Jesse Ventura Interview On CNN ~ "The Lemming Mentality Of Americans!"

Ventura has proven he can win and I think alot of voters would like him...

I have ZERO respect for Ventura after hearing him state openly - very late last night on the second round of King on CNN - that Americans should NEVER be allowed to decide on civil rights matters themselves, that they need a "leader" to shove what is "right" down their throats, that if Americans were allowed to vote on slavery, we'd still have slavery. His comments came in a discussion of Maine's vote to overturn legalized gay marriage.

Ventura is a self important liar and a PIECE OF SHIT.

He's good on foreign policy and civil liberties, but he's an idiot who knows nothing about economics. He's a fiscal conservative but says it's "hard to tell" whether the bailouts were the right choice.

Yep, I watched Ventura last night on King and he was horrible!

I've lost a lot of respect for Ventura over the last few media appearances, he even said he wants a mix of socialism and Capitalism in a radio interview that i heard recently. He said something like "The soviet empire collapsed because of too much socialism, and now America is collapsing because of too much Capitalism, so perhaps we need a mix of both". I'm hesitant to even bother with this interview. I like him when he get talking about foreign policy, drugs and most civil rights issues, but I'm not sure what his principles are, and that scares me.

I can't believe this dolt was being pushed in this forum to be the torchbearer for Paul.

That is what we have now, a mix of both.

no longer interested.
he calls me names and insults me because i dont belive what he does...kinda too much of that going around already.

he FAILS

based on the content of these videos ONLY I didn't have a problem with what he said

-politicians with backbone shouldn't be swayed by elections
-non-career politicians have a harder time making changes
-it's possible to win with less money if you run on ideas
-the nascar suit analogy was a bit awkward but its a humorous point
-essentially agree with the "get out of both wars" comment although a yes/no question doesn't allow time for details

so did anyone have a problem with what he said in the video above (and only that video)

i am not adding commentary on written interpretations of other speeches or shows that i have not seen myself. if i see other videos then i will gladly comment so post them here. thx.

Wow. He's even worse than I thought. Ventura is the opposite of libertarian.

Ventura is an anti-war navy seal! What's more to like? He calls it like he sees it and I admire him for that, sure he could be more palatable. He didn't vote for McCain or Obama, he supported Ron Paul. That puts him leagues above anyone else Larry ever has on his show.

Yea, i tend to agree. we need him on our side, for sure. He's willing to learn and admit to mistakes, I think. We should send him some books on Austrian economics or something. Perhaps we can get AJ to recommend Thomas Woods meltdown to him?

Ventura didn't endorse RP at all. Did Ventura support RP in the primaries and stump for him in MN? He went to the RFTR RP set up but on retrospect his praise of Obama's subsequent policies shows he used RP and that event to split the libertarians from McCain to get Obama elected.
