[Video] Alex Jones Endorses Rand Paul 2016: I would support Rand Paul for President

Alex Jones's support would only hurt a Rand Paul candidacy. I hope he stays out of it

I doubt they'll be paying too much attention to him. You can't control who supports you, and Romney had a fair few hardline right wingers (Pat Buchanan) and conspiracy theorists (Donald Trump) backing him in 2012. That wasn't why he lost.

I disagree with a lot of Jones says, but I welcome his support as I would welcome any other radio talk show host.

Jone's support brings a mixed bag but I think it will be a net positive. This isn't meant as a compliment or a diss towards Jones - its just an observation.
He has a large amount of loyal listeners and him putting support behind Rand will definitely increase the activity among grassroots supporters ... however, a certain amount of those followers are the types that drive away more votes than they attract.

Prediction:
Jones supports Rand. Plays well for a while, volunteer and contributions increase for a bit till the MSM starts hammering on the endorsement and tries to connect everything Alex has said with Rand's beliefs. In the first interview that Rand is asked if he agrees with Alex on (fill in the blank) Rand says something rather sharp and distancing himself from Alex.
Alex will probably make no big deal about it at all but some of his followers will make a huge deal out of it and constantly bash Rand on any comment section they have access to.

That, also, will be a mixed bag but in the end a net gain.

Just my, not overly confident, opinion.

Isn't this the guy who told us a year ago that Rand sold out to the Dark Side?

Your putdown of mainstream pro-liberty people would only hurt the movement. I hope you stay out of it.

Isn't this the guy who told us a year ago that Rand sold out to the Dark Side?

Jones told us he thought the compromise endorsement of Mitt was cynically done, considering the mixed signals given by the Paul campaign at the time. He said at the time he would get over his displeasure, but he would never view the Pauls as idealistically as he once had.

Another reason to not vote for Rand Paul.

Alex Jones is a nut. Rand must be doing something wrong if Jones supports him.

People around here are in denial about his influence. You'd think a pro-liberty voice gaining influence would be applauded around here, but no. The establishment bootlickers would rather support the NY Times.
It's great and all that he's pro-liberty, but most of his conspiracy theories are too far out there for even the most critical person.

"Watch Out! Barack Obama Is Actual A Martian And His Army Of Mind-Reading Robotic Bees Is Coming To A Town Near You!"

"Watch Out! The Big Bad Mafia Cartel Doctors All Want To Watch You Suffer And Die! They Feed You Drugs And Purposely Poison You So That They Can Anally Probe You!"

calm down, Alex

I don't deny at all that Jones is influential, but he has mostly attained his influential position not primarily by promoting liberty, but by exploiting people's fears and paranoia, especially among those in the liberty movement. It's great when you value liberty, but when conspiracism is always your default position it is a toxic way of thinking.

So ignoring government admissions of false flag and black operations, and crony corporate arrangements that elevate monopolized profits above the safety and freedom of the public, is a healthy way of thinking? People who are not liberty oriented are often that way because official stories and cover-ups have lulled them to sleep, and made them oblivious to the liberty message.

Why are you not more concerned over the establishment and government exploiting people's hopes and gullibility? Jones' method involves waking people up about the routine orchestration of events that does go on by documenting the evidence, thereby waking them up and making them more receptive to liberty. The larger truth is, these matters have been of widespread concern to the liberty movement, independent of Jones---we created Jones, not the reverse.

Alex Jones is more conservative than Limbaugh. Limbaugh who is good friends with Rubio let him sell amnesty to his big audience.

If Rand has the backing of Jones that could help with his detour to immigration reform with the right.

Jones has only called Rand out twice on Romney and immigration reform. Most times he begged him not to join the dark side.
