Am I the only one seriously bothered by the prospect of Jindal being on the GOP ticket? According to the recent flash of coverage, he's one of three candidates for the slot being introduced to McCain.

Jindal is the current governor of Louisiana. He ran his electoral campaign there based on "cleaning up corruption". Also, he is very young (in his thirties) and of Indian (not Native American) descent, which is a big first. Anyway, his election was a big deal down in Louisiana.

Precisley. He's made some token moves that play well in the media but do little. Not to mention that the spending in LA has increased dramatically under him.

Not to mention that he is pro-Real ID and supports the Patriot Act, among other things.

Some of the legislation he passed does do very good things for transparency and ethics in LA. A lot of it does affect the executive brnach, especiall yhte two executive orders he issued.

Also his executive orders can be found at the Louisiana offical website. Remember, a governor, and a president are not a king. They can only accomplish so much without the legislative branch.

I of course disagree with the expansion of the cost of governmnet and the support of the patriot act, but as far as VP candidates go that McCain is considering, he is at the top.

I too would rather see Ron Paul, Bob Barr, Sarah Paladin, or anyother Libertarian leaning republican as VP ( how about Neil Boortz?) but I just don't think that Jindal is all that bad. , No where near as bad as say, John McCain.

Uh,.... the entire legislature is criticizing Jindal for a bill he's pushing to exempt himself and offices of his choice from transparency and disclosure. He demands a clean up of everyone but himself, that's what the big deal is right now.

Don't they all? It's a move to throw names out to the public on so-called: DO GOODERS' and a 'LABELED' minority to appease the public and votes. All this public P.R. spreading is from the 50 professionals behind the scene, running John McCain's campaign. McLieberman can't even read his prepared AND rehearsed speeches off the teleprompter. There's an indication for him NOT to be president... he needs pre-written PR speeches.

D'Souza May Be On to Something, But...

Though I can understand why D'Souza would say that, I think 9/11 had more to do with our interventionistic foreign policy (or maybe it was a government conspiracy) than it did with the Islamic world's projection of the immorality of our country and their means to punish it somehow.
