My prediction, with a pending recession a new war is required. Venezuela has played into their hands by crossing into Columbia. The United States will send a brigade to assist the Columbian Government, which will crush Venezuela in a few days, and allow the U.S. to seize all the expropriated oil fields and return them to Exxon.

There are a lot McCainis on this board. Nothing to do about it.
They just love sticking here..and educate us![]()
Only in a Neo-Con wet dream.
I have no doubt that the Globalists would like to control that oil, they have been provoking Chavez for years.
I doubt that taking Venezuela would prove to be easy.
They are well armed and ready.
"Chavez would fight Bush using every last resource. It would not be an easy fight either there are a lot of Chavistas down there. I would love to see Bush get his ass handed to him by Chavez, we have no business there; we have caused enough trouble in the entire region (the failed coup?). Despite what lies our media tells us, Chavez is a decent leader and is very popular, although he does leave some things to be desired ."
So would I but not at the expense of our innocent soldiers. And what excuse would he use this time???? Terrorists? WMDs??? Or would they be so bold as to state it really was for the oil???
When are you people going to get it in your head that there are leaders all over the world just like or worse than bush. Chavez is the same power hunger piece of shi* as Bush and Putin. Quit supporting a**holes just because we have an a**hole leader.
You almost say it as if it were a BAD thing?
Oh, that it would be true, but alas, it wn't work out that way.
I do not support Chavez 100% and it really does not matter if I do because it's not where I live. I do however know plenty of Venezuelans and they LOVE him. He has done a great deal for the poor of that country, and when I say poor I mean we can't even imagine some of the poverty that exists in the Barrio's of Caracas and elsewhere in that country. If you spent any amount of time there you would see what I am talking about. He is nothing like Bush or Putin, and I will not accept any American media story that would support that he is; they have had it out for him since day one and not one of those news sources can be trusted. Power corrupts almost all leaders, everywhere. If you want the real news from that region you can try: narconews.com, but I would not trust anything you read about it in the MSM here, they have a clear agenda, and it is not reporting truth and fact about Hugo Chavez.
Are you sure that US will crush Venezuela in a few days?

Great deal for the poor? By ruining their futures. Take a chapter from Augusto Pinochet, he used free market principles to make Chile prosperous. The leftists attack him because:
1. he did come down hard on the leftist fighters, so yeah
2. he was not a socialist, they attack anyone that is not a socialist. you don't see leftists criticizing how Stalin starved millions of his own people. You can just see the ignorants rally against how Pinochet killed a few thousand. But those thousands were fighting against him, so those deaths are understandable.

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez has said the "happy" end to the regional crisis with Colombia should boost unity in Latin America.
"We are all happy," Mr Chavez said afterwards.
"Peace! We must unite and integrate."

Yeah, this could actually prove very difficult considering that several other Latin American countries would come to Venezuela’s aid, and you might even have pressure from countries like Russia, Iran, China, as they are tied closely to Venezuela. Plus, Venezuela bought a bunch of weapons/etc from Russia not long ago. They’re no Grenada.
Plus, we’re stretched like Rome times ten, yo.
Chavez is nowhere near the same ballpark as Bush or Putin.
This is all bullshit. The second you start arguing in favor of Pinochet, you should take a second look at yourself.
