How awesome would it be if everyone wore "V" masks and capes to the March while carrying RP signs? Most intimidating to see a sea of stone-faced, united "clones" marching down Pennsylvania Ave.

"The peasants are revolting. Yes, and they smell pretty bad too."

The marchers would instantly be labeled as members of a cult that advocates the overthrow of the U.S. government. I don't think that is really what we need to accomplish. Is It?

My only concern with masks is agent provocateurs. If they are there, I would prefer we get their faces on camera and not just a mask.

My $.02

But for the record, I would LOVE to march with V masks...but I do think it would make disrupting our demonstration easier for "THEM".

I'm afraid that will only make it easier for them to label RP supporters as nutjobs.

I'll wear a mask of myself. Stand proud and let them know individual's from all walks of life support this movement!

Or show your own face, and show 'them' that what the individuals that are part of this movement look like.

And Guy Fawkes is no role model, regardless of the societal metaphors that your are able to pull from the story.

there are like 3 other threads in the march forum about this. why are some of you so obsessed with the v for vendetta thing? i'm telling you...that mask scares alot of children. there will be kids there you know. plus...ur average person isn't going to get the whole mask thing...instead they'll say, "see, i told you those paulites were crazy."

not that i'm advocating masks, because i'm not... but you do realize we already are labeled as a 'cult' (in the same way obama followers are) and that Ron Paul effectively does advocate the overthrow of the U.S. government in a peaceable manner?

all the more reason NOT to wear masks and give 'them' more ammunition against us

It'd make us look like a bunch of pimply loser teenagers. Thats who usually uses those.

lol, that was my point. "a mask of myself." Guess it wasn't worded well :o

Let the V thing go. Let the 9/11 truthers have V back. We raised a lot of money off of this? Great! But Guy Fawkes was an anti protestant terrorist who would have killed the man who commissioned the King James Bible. That's NOT the way to win over evangelical Christians. Honestly you would be better off handing everyone a "9/11 was an inside job" sign. And before anti truther chimes in on this I'm not saying someone CAN'T wear a V mask. But this is definitely not something that should be encouraged.

As I've posted before I'm not so sure any march is advisable unless you can guarantee a large and I mean LARGE turn out that is orderly and respectful of the laws. If the turn out for the march is small or mediocre it will do more to mininalize the Ron Paul campaign then you can possibly imagine. Any lawlesness would simply be the final nail in RP's campaign. Think about this march not as an individual that wants to show the world or to vent but as a member of a movement that advocates peaceful but steady change of our government back towards our founding fathers wonderful creation ... the constitution. If the march does indeed happen might I recommend that any signs carried by the marchers be RP campaign signs and/or signs praising the constitution and the values it represents.
