I would say they have done a horrible job in how they have spent the money, on what they have spent the money and when they have spent the money. We all need to take a serious look at the materials they used for this campaign... then take a look at the money they spent and the quality of the materials and the returns. This requires some serious time looking through the FEC reports (from the campaign itself)... then a review of the videos they have released trying to explain the failures (according to the campaign director, advertising does not work)... then a serious review of how the campaign handled the media. To put it bluntly the "media blackout" on Ron Paul was largely a self inflicted wound.
I am not guessing at this... I do marketing for a living and have done it for a long time. And I am not alone in this assessment. Several other credentialed and experienced RP supports have reached the same conclusion... some sooner than others... and many have tried to help correct the mistakes of the **official** campaign for several months... all with no results and usually no response.
They are now trying to explain their failings and one of the targets for blame is... guess who... the grassroots. I suggest a long hard serious look at their efforts and results and I believe you will come to the same conclusion.
We have to stop them now before they waste the rest of the money that has been donated on some other useless venture. They have demonstrated they do not know how to run a political or even a marketing campaign. They all need to be fired and the remaining funds (and the waning hopes of this movement) should not be squandered by these ill equipped individuals.
If they worked for me I would have fired them months ago and hired seasoned experts with a proven history of success.
