If there was no Musk involvement, instead right now, we would have Marco Rubio and Mike Johnson telling us that "we will start an investigation into various government agencies, maybe even a commission, to determine if there are areas where we can cut costs. MAGA!"

Why would I want that hushed up?

It's all gotta go, including that.

USAID has been funding the NGOs that are replacing Americans and have been since the 1965 Hart Celler Act.

I've been ranting and raving about that for decades now...when 25,000 Somalians show up in lower middle class White town in Maine, when 5000 Haitians show up in a small town in Ohio, when invaders get free housing in Brunswick, it's these NGOs that are responsible.

No one, other than lone voices like the Paul's or O'Donnell or Massie or Birchers have ever touched this program.

Until now.

And the American people are furious.

I'm not "grasping at straws to complain".

You Trump supporters have a serious problem comprehending this I think.

You have faith that Trump is a good person and that he is sincerely trying to do what he says he's trying to do and I do not. It is as simple as that.

Instead of seeing facts for facts, you go around trying to destroy the reputation of everyone who speak ill of Trump or his actions. Trump himself does this (e.g. "Anyone who disagrees with tariffs is controlled by big corporations and China".) Trump is a divisive demagogue and he followers chastise people for not being believers.

We used to chastise the left for this disdain for independent thought, but now it's firmly implanted in the MAGA movement. "You are either on or side or you are the enemy".

But the question remains, why you all want to camp out here? The values of this site do not correspond.

I agree.

The problem for me is it doesn't feel sustainable. I still think that the incentive structure is for government to grow because people tend to vote for free stuff and the federal reserve is able to print the money for that free stuff.

Although the odds are improving my bet is still that Trump wipes out any doge savings with some of his pet projects like the Iron Dome. I don't think we'll really be able to cut government until we have our "argentina moment" which is hyperinflation.

I think he's lying. He didn't do it before, he won't do it now.

I do however believe that he will do everything in his power to take care of Israel's border.

By any objective observation, a great deal has already been done.

No government action or cessation of action, in and of itself, is going to cure the rot in the soul of our people or heal this land.

That is in God's hands.

But it can clear the air, root out the corruption, shut down the Fifth Columnists and remove the invaders.
