I am formally announcing that I plan to run for the US Senate seat up for election from the State of Alabama.

I will be running as a write-in candidate, as the ballot-access requirement in Alabama was too much to attempt to overcome.

You may be asking yourself, "why run as a write-in?". The answer is simple, there is almost no difference between the Republicans and Democrats, and I can actually mention issues that are truly important that wouldn't be discussed otherwise. Also, I estimate that between 1-2% of ballots cast this fall will be write-in votes, so, I'm giving the people a name to write-in.

If elected, I will introduce and sponsor the "Read the Bills Act", "Write the laws Act", as well as other legislation that will reduce the size and scope of the Federal Government.

Thanks,
Darryl W. Perry

NOOOOOOOOO. Don't waste your time running a write-in campaign. Yes, there's likely no real difference between the two major parties, but one of them is going to win the seat. There's no point in contesting the race with a write-in campaign. Instead of running for Congress, find an existing Ron Paul Republican/Democrat in your region and support them. Raise money for them. Make a trip to their district and volunteer. Use the time and energy that you would have used to run your quixotic campaign and direct it toward an existing, viable Ron Paul candidate.

Look at Amit Singh. The man got edged out in his primary. Had there been a few more supporters, a few more dollars, and a few more contacts made, he would have won.

For this revolution, allocation of our resources is important. You are a resource to this revolution. Your time is. Your money is. Your contacts and skills are. Don't throw them away on a write-in campaign - instead spend them wisely that has a better chance of yielding positive results for this movement.
