US School Zero Tolerance Policy for weapons.

Why do they do this?
Guns should not be brought to school but...
Like if a student forgot a hunting rifle in his trunk they will Punish him heavily and to the utmost they can, including expulsion and imprisonment in Juvenile Hall. They don't think about the situation or circumstance.

It's really not Zero Tolerance as much as it is Zero Thinking.

I say... This is done on PURPOSE to 'dog train' children from a young age that Guns are Bad and Gun will only lead to trouble. The POWER of "Authority" Crashing with power to punish anyone who had anything to do with guns.

Rather then as a tool to defend yourself, family, children, home, and at the end of the day....TO DEFEND OURSELVES against a Tyrannical Government who allowed Banks has looted Trillions from its own people and have Enforcers crack the people's skulls.

Why do school have Zero [thinking] Tolerance Policy? Why have a policy that has to room for common sense and specific circumstances.

Zero tolerance extends to blades as well. Bringing a knife with which to eat your lunch is a big no-no. A gal who was moving into her college apartment (senior in HS) towards the end of the year had a set of steak knives fall out of a bin while she was moving, came to school the next day with it in her car, and a police officer who was "glancing" into vehicles saw the knives. They were on school property, and therefore she got in trouble under "zero tolerance."

You can look up myriad stupid cases where kids are punished for carrying "weapons" of various sorts.

I carry a swiss army knife to school for two reasons: I ride my bike to school and need to make repairs on occasion, and the tools in it are often useful in my robotics class. God knows what would happen if they found that.

About half of the voting public are mothers, and its easy to paint your opposing candidate as "Unconcerned about school violence" if they don't support Zero Tolerance policies. Its not a cause most are willing to turn the tide on, thus... they stay.

on another note though.... anyone who "forgets" that they are carrying a gun in their vehicle probably deserves the zero tolerance policy....
