Edit:
We did it with 13 minutes to spare. That was freggin close. Its not 13 minutes now, but it was when we broke the record. Thanks for the diggs guys, no doubt that the awareness spread by the digg article helped us reach our goal. Here are some of the comments from digg:
thanks for the heads up! i'm giving another 25 bucks now. i already called my immediate family about this today, but it's time to hit up the buddylist and dial a few more numbers...
i gave $5. first time i've contributed to a campaign ever before. i've been registered green for over a decade. ron paul's campaign makes me curious even though i'm wary of republitarians, i think ron paul has more validity than any other major party candidate and his strong anti-war stance alone gives me reason to endorse his campaign.
dropped another $50 down, but that's it. I still need to buy Christmas presents
Donated another $50 just now.
I'm not much of a Ron Paul supporter, but this blew me away.
I want to see this on the news tomorrow and said I had a stake in this.
+$10
Well I sent $190 earlier today and looking at how close we are I'm going to send over an extra $100. Lets see if we can all drop an extra $10-$20 to him tonight.
Just gave another $200. Hopefully democracy can help.
finally did it, i felt i had to do my part so i threw in $100. first time in my life i've ever donated to a political cause. but this one seems worth it, our country is going to shit and something revolutionary needs to happen in order to have any hope of that shit not swallowing us up.
just donated 100 dollars. I am a delivery driver and am giving all the money I can that will allow me to pay rent. I didnt even donate on the 5th. BTW The donation page is crashing on RonPaul2008
$5 more coming.
I am a Business Economics major in my junior year at UCSB. I just made my very first donation of $10. I was watching the site all day and finally decided to contribute what I could. Everything helps!
just donated another 200. Go Ron Paul!
Just added $25... my first political donation. I made the mistake of voting for Bush in the last two election (the first presidential elections I ever voted in), but Ron Paul has turned me into a diehard Libertarian for life. I'm never looking back.
+9.93. I cashed out my Bank of America account cause they suck, and Ron Paul doesn't.
I just attempted to donate $50 and it says We're sorry, Contribution transactions are temporarily down. :o
Just added $100...my first political donation.
Just Donated $100!
Cmon people! IM everyone!!!! I just got 4 people to put in $100 each... HELP!
As is with many others, this is my first time ever donating to a presidential candidate. I donated $100 earlier and I just donated another $25 after reading this article. I pray Ron Paul wins.

Original post:
I made threads about this earlier today (new info, still worth reading, I promise!). Anyways, it seems that the actual donation is lower than the projected estimate of 6.2 million.
Earlier I submitted an article to digg, and it got good diggs, but some how didn't make the "Hot on all topics" list, probably because it didn't get diggs fast enough.
This new submission with a more accurate title is working well, digging way more faster than the old submission (15 diggs in 50 minutes, old one took a few hours to get that). This one definably has the potential to make the front page.

Please digg to get pple do donate an extra 5-10$. We are not going to break Hillary's fake record of 6.2 million at this rate.
Projected of a little less then 6.2 million:
Actually, which is even less than the projected:
Please digg, I know there are reasons to believe that the final will be better than predicted, but its better to be safe than sorry. This is our one and only chance.
Besides, taking a few seconds to digg a story never hurt anyone.

Edit: Sorry guys. I should have mentioned that Hillary's record is fake. However, that figure is still being spitted out there by the MSM, here is an example:
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,308404,00.html.
Lets give the media no excuses. If we break 6.2 million, the media will have no options to cover up what we did today.
