EDIT: Update:

An alert from the campaign was just sent out moments ago, according to CaptainAmerica, that only two Ron Paul supporters/delegates will be allowed to observe. And they already have two people.

Previous post:

I thought this needed a new thread:

The ballots from Saturday are going to be counted at the GOP Headquarters on 24th Street just North of Osborn today at 1:30 p.m. It is critical that there be witnesses there to observe whatever happens, and to report back to us any results determined or proclamations made.

(Emphasis added.)

OK, thanks!

Looks like they've had 2 days now to doctor the vote as they see fit... now we can count. =)

Also just got this email from Ed Vallejo.

We now have four people at HQ, including David Fitzgerald. Thank you for your prompt response on such short notice. If you are on your way or near there, feel free to stop by and show support.

Results forthcoming as sonn as they are reported.

Were we able to do something about the ballot stuffing, or are they going to be counted the way it is now? :(

Since there were 31 votes allowed each Delegate (on a two-sheet ballot) it should be easy to determine if there were more votes cast than should have been by counting the total marks and dividing. As for the 'stuffing' charge, videos of it actually happening need to surface before that can be addressed.

My personal opinion is that since each Delegates' first page of the ballot cannot be distinguished from another Delegates, this will negate the validity of the ballots themselves, and the results will be discounted.

As I said before, we'll see.

Show up anyway if you were going to, and stand outside. It encourages honest counts, and is good practice for how ballot counting SHOULD be done.

The athenians counted all votes in ballots. You had a rock(pebble) or piece of pottery, and you all piled it into the pile for the candidate you wanted to elect in public. It's where we get the word ballot. Ball lot. Biggest pile wins.

All the votes counted (or looked at) in public in front of everyone. No taking votes into back rooms. No secret counts, we count the votes for you.

Wow, they are finally counting the stuffed ballots.

The "at large delegate" ballot was messed up to begin with. When we got our ballots it was a 2 sheet ballot which had names on both sheets...and we were instructed to only vote 31 times total for both sheets combined. There was no way to tell if someone marked both sheets 31 times since they were not linked together at all.
