Recently, respected conservative pastor Doug Wilson, who has praised Ron Paul and liberty issues in the past, has raised some doubts on Ron Paul over the abortion issue. He recently has flirted with supporting Rick Santorum due to his supposedly stronger pro-life credentials.

This video is a tool to share with evangelicals on how Ron Paul's Sanctity of Life Act is the best solution to the abortion issue. It shows how Christians should respect the law of the land by supporting statesmen that enforce it so that life in all its stages is protected. This argument single-handedly debunks the myth that Santorum is more pro-life than Paul.

Share this with Christians and pro-life advocates unaware of Ron Paul's leadership on this issue!

Throwback, are you Reformed?

Secondly, could you please link to where Doug Wilson has said he "may" support Santorum? If this is true, I will go ballistic. Wilson has said great things about Ron in the past and he defended Rand on the CRA.

"The Obama administration and its allies continue to defend a regulation mandating that Catholics offer and purchase health-insurance plans that violate their consciences. The administration is counting on confusion to keep this from becoming a permanent political wound. But Obama voters — including prominent ones — see this not as an issue about birth control or even abortion (an issue they’ve overlooked in Obama’s case before), but as an issue of religious liberty and the nature of our nation." http://www.nationalreview.com/articl...-101-interview

Ron Paul Statement Concerning Becket Fund for Religious Liberties Lawsuit (Dec 18, 2011)

Citing Jefferson, Dr. Paul calls federal mandate forcing private institutions to cover contraceptives “sinful and tyrannical”
LAKE JACKSON, Texas – The Ron Paul 2012 Presidential campaign released the following statement concerning the Becket Fund for Religious Liberties lawsuit filed on behalf of Belmont Abbey College, located in North Carolina. Below please find comments from Congressman Paul:

“I applaud the Becket Fund for coming to the defense of Belmont Abbey College, a Catholic school founded by Benedictine monks. Federal bureaucrats are using their powers to try to force this traditional Catholic school to cover contraceptives, defined to include drugs such as RU-486, as part of their group health care plan.

“Thomas Jefferson said it was ‘sinful and tyrannical’ to ‘compel a man to furnish contributions of money for the propagation of opinions which he disbelieves and abhors.’ Forcing private religious institutions to cover RU-486 certainly falls within Jefferson’s definition of sinful and tyrannical.

“Unlike other candidates, I have fought against the federal promotion, funding, and mandating of contraceptives and abortion my entire political career. As President, I will use my constitutional authority to stop federal bureaucrats from forcing any institution to violate their sacred moral and religious beliefs by making them provide coverage for contraceptives in their health insurance plan.”

One big point everyone is missing on this and why certain people who would support Santorum think about the abortion issue.

They want it BANNED COMPLETELY. ILLEGAL. They don't want to have to fight it in their state. They want to use the power of the holy federal government to do their bidding. That's the goal. There is no "limited government" thought process in this.

I know. I deal with this discussion every Christmas.

You must point them to reality. It is disobedient to violate the rule of law by trying to take federal legal mandates. It is also never going to happen. There is no way you will ever get a 2/3 majority in both Houses plus the White House to create a constitutional amendment banning abortion at the federal level. Never going to happen. But it is quite possible for a simple majority to repeal Roe v. Wade and send it to the states. That can actually happen if pro-life people are elected.

I am amazed at how so much of what holds us back from surging past the tipping point is simply based in communication strategy.

When you have the entire Mainstream Media putting out constant disinformation against you, you have to work 10 times as hard on communication as everybody else. However, it should also be noted that most Evangelicals in America have been spoon fed a lot of heresy over the past 100 years and are having an extremely difficult time keeping their theology straight, which is basically how you end up having them vote for someone like Santorum who would probably work to destroy them once in office.

Reframing debates go a long way. We must convey strength, optimism, and clarity in defining the rule of law and liberty. It's ashame how much ground we give up due to a lack of creativity in reframing the debate on our turf.

I belong to what is considered an Evangelical church. This is a tough issue for Evangelicals because people do not think through Constitutional things such as this. Their argument amounts to something like "the law of God is to be obeyed over the law of man" and they see the abortion issue as a law of God. Therefore, abortion must be illegal everywhere.

If we can get a hearing, I believe the best way to approach them is with the "shrewd as serpents and innocent like doves" argument that Jesus preached about. Sadly, many people would have to be taught this before it can be applied to things such as the Sanctity of Life Act. People need to be shown that the centralized law works against them if the wrong people get in power. Explain that this thinking results in things as Federal Judges in California throwing out a proposition vote of marriage being between a man and a woman because they found it "unconstitutional". Ron Paul has pointed out that making law does not improve morality.

Right. The problem with the church today is that it spends too much time trying to get non-Christians to obey Christ, a Lord whom they do not want, while ignoring proper discipleship, worship, and community in their own churches. This is not good.
