Updated: HP Touchpad Firesale: One Last Run From $500 to $99

It's pretty much a dead product unless/until someone ports android to it. I wouldn't pay $100 for something that can only run the discontinued webOS.
 
I'm very nervous that my two from Amazon will get canceled. From what I've heard from other people on other forums, cancelations are starting to be sent out now. My dad also ordered one from Barnes and Noble early this morning, but I don't think he'll be getting it.

Which is a shame because everything I have read about WebOS makes it sound like it was a great little OS.
 
OfficeMax and Newegg have not reduced prices yet.

My order says it wil be shipped out on th 24th.. But of course I ordered like 2 seconds after this thread was posted..
 
Called up all electronic stores within 50 miles of me - finally got one person to admit that the 'in stock' on sites pages was indeed correct, just that they are not selling them and planning on shipping back to HP and 'not anticipating more deliveries of the product to sell to customers.'

Here's the link to the page where you can sign up to be notified when more are available. It took me forever to get the damned thing to respond though, so I'm not holding my breath on getting one through this channel.

circuit city and zones.com now in stock. zones has both the 16gb and 132gb for same price.
