Only when the Chair tried to justify his ruling that the Convention Call could not be challenged or changed, and a few Non-Paul supporters got up and stated that they "changed" the location so he was wrong.

It didn't take long for me to be outted as the Coordinator for CD8, once that happened every motion we presented was ruled against. Even the motion to follow our Reapportionment Manual and vote on a new Congressional District Constitution and elect new Chairs and Vice-Chairs, which every other CD did except ours.

The best part was when one of the Establishment Delegates running for National Delegate dropped out because of the stalemate and threw his support at one of our Delegates. 2 of 3 National Delegates and 1 of 3 Alternates. Not bad for the one Congressional District where we were told we would be lucky if we received a single Alternate. Game, set, match.

Apparently, the endorsement fight between Perry and Quist is going for ballot 20. Quist is in the lead now but needs 20 more votes to get the required amount according to #MNCD1 on twitter.

Yes. 'Paulbots' are getting unfriendly treatment in tweets...

they are also tweeting to find out what nearby hotels have rooms...

apparently 'Mainstay' has rooms, two blocks away, but Kelly Inn is booked

Ron just won half the delegates from the state of Minn, 20 out of 24 of those in the CDs, with 16 still to come 3 of whom are at large, one at large of whom caucused for Ron in 2007.


Media wont' report it but has implied in a report that the guy Ron endorsed is likely to get the GOP endorsement from the state convention, so..... anyhow, we expect to do well there too. I wish it were ONE more today so we could say a 'win' before Tuesday's primaries but we have as much as all the others could get if they got all left and joined together. I think it obviously WILL be a win at this point, but it isn't as easy to say quickly.

And media is reporting ONLY that Romney got half the CD delegates in MO (which is piss poor for a supposed presumed nominee) and NO ONE has reported MN. LITERALLY the only thing on it is people quoting what I put on the front page.

We CAN say we have a 'win'... Paul has 20 delegates and Santorum has 2. Even if Romney miraculously sweeps the state convention and takes all 3 at-large delegates, he'd still only end up with 18. We already have the plurality, but it would be nice to take a strong majority :D

Technically the Santorum folks COULD vote for Romney if released. But I agree, at this moment Ron has the plurality.

CD 2: We took EVERYTHING! No shenanigans, no secrecy, no tricks. Everything was completely above board and video recorded. They were out maneuvered.

All I can say after reading this thread and following how conventions were going in the state of Minnesota is: GREAT JOB and keep it up!! You are making fellow Minnesotans and RP supporters around the country proud!

Hopefully this trend continues until Ron Paul has the 5 plurality states he needs to make some real noise at the GOP convention in Tampa.
