UNofficial MN GOP Convention Tweets/News/Updates Here please :)

Who did the last delegate go to? Could we have swept with a few more people?

Wow CD4 was a bloodbath. They actually tried to filibuster us and prevent all of the elections from happening. Complete success though!

Good news. So we swept 3/3? What about alternates, I read they didn't vote for any...?

but then they adjourned with no alternates? That is what I thought I saw on twitter

WOOOT!! I'm positively rooting for Quist by this point, at least for today:

Resounding voice vote against endorsement, but division is called. #mngop #CD1

The motion not to endorse fails on rising vote, #CD1 will continue with ballot 7. #MNGOP

they are going to keep balloting until there is an endorsement and Quist is picking up a couple votes each time, it was almost tied last time. Parry's folks obviously are now thinking better no one gets an endorsement than that they are the ones without one, facing the guy with one.

Please Like Kurt's Facebook page. He really needs more exposure, even to our own people.

I've seen Kurt Bills speak a couple times now, and he's fantastic. I'm pretty sure he'll get the nomination at the state convention. I was at the CD6 convention, and he had the biggest round of applause out of everybody, including Bachmann. The hard part will be beating Klobuchar, but his message and background put him in the best possible position to defeat her. He's excellent on economics and the economy, against the Fed, wants to audit the Fed, wants sound money, and he's good on foreign policy. One of the things I really like about him is that he has been a public high school economics teacher for 15 years, and the reason he decided to go into politics is that he had to look into his students eyes and tell them that they were being sold out, and if things didn't change they may not have much of a future, so he took matters into his own hands. His passion is teaching, and if he can go to Washington and change things, he'd want to return to teaching. He's not after power. In that respect, he kind of reminds me of a younger Ron Paul, except with a background of teaching economics.

Here's his speech from the CD6 convention a couple weeks ago:

Kurt Bills is everywhere today. Spoke at CD2 and CD4 where Ron won, now speaking at CD1.

And if Ron sweeps all 4 district conventions today, that gives him 22 delegates out of Minnesota, already a majority.

For those who don't know who Kurt Bills is, here's a little introduction I found:

31 March- CD 7: Santorum 2, Paul 1.
14 April- CD 3: Paul 3.
14 April- CD 5: Paul 3.
14 April- CD 6: Paul 3.
21 April- CD 1.
21 April- CD 2: Paul 3.
21 April- CD 4. (Paul 3?) page 5 of this thread
21 April- CD 8.

From Green Paper, can you guys provide sources and not just "i believe" because it getting confusing.

If I'm not mistaken, this leaves us with Paul getting 20 out of 24 delegates!! And this gives Ron a majority of all the delegates!!!
