Unelectable? Thy name is Rick Santorum

"Electability, do you have any sir?"

Maybe a moderator will ask Santorum that question tomorrow night? Yeah, right...

Rick Santorum never said this, but I get the impression that Santorum wouldn't have a big problem with camera's in every room of everybody's home monitored by the police, smart technology regulating everyone's thermostat, and RFID chips with GPS in everybody's arm. People are voting for him. Is this America?

Most Republican voters put the federal budget at or near the top of their priority list as far as their political positions are concerned. Not Rick Santorum. The issues page on his website has the budget thirteenth on the page. What is the number one issue? “Enforcing Laws Against Illegal Pornography,” which Rick says “causes profound brain changes in both children and adults, resulting in widespread negative consequences.” Queue the eerie music because we’re just getting started.

Number two on his list is “No More Leading from Behind for America,” which is basically the standard Republican Party line that the U.S. military should be deployed in just about every nation on earth. I happen to think that is crazy, but most Republicans don’t. However, number three on the list is gay marriage. So, out of the top three issues listed on his page, pornography and homosexuality are two of them.

To say that Rick is “a little uptight” is a gross understatement. Santorum has stated unequivocally that he believes that the federal government can and should regulate the bedroom. In fact, he has also said that there is no area of life that is beyond the government’s reach...

Paul might get a good opportunity to embarrass Santorum by distinguishing theocracy from freedom of religion.

He just might be the worst candidate I have ever seen run for the office in my life. It is laughable that he even has a chance.

I'd like to see someone ask the K Street lobbyist to open up his Bible and give his opinion on what it was that Jesus was really thinking.

And the Jews' passover was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. 14And found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting: 15And when he had made a whip of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers' money, and overthrew the tables; 16And said to them that sold doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father's house an house of merchandise. 17And his disciples remembered that it was written, The zeal of your house has eaten me up.

Would be nice if some Bible thumpers did so other than the annual spring thumping to knock off the dust.
