A bucket of dog slop is better than GoDaddy.Josh just did a Chipin last week. I believe he raised more than goal. I'm sure he's on top of it and I do believe it will auto renew.
He should switch to hostgator for hosting. They are cheaper and ranked higher than go daddy, I believe.

GoDaddy is quite bad... They take advantage of seizing domains and re-selling them for more far too often.

And sure, the personal information remains available on whois. But did you know that if you make the information more easy to see, there's a greater chance of that personal information being used maliciously?
To be honest, I think the link to whois which has the personal information should also be removed from the original post. The information is still there on the web, but we don't need to plaster it all over the place.
