UK: Climate protester pulled from roof of train by citizens

In London, where some of the biggest demonstrations have occurred, both officials and commuters were quick to point out that the activists were blocking an environmentally-friendly form of transportation on Thursday.

"The Tube and rail networks are one of the greenest transport methods in London, any action goes against what they campaign for and will only cause misery for London’s commuters," British Transport Police said in a statement Wednesday.

At the Shadwell station, where activists glued themselves to a train, video shared on Twitter shows angry travelers yelling at two protesters, calling them hypocrites. "You're stopping an electric train. Are you guys really that f****** stupid?" one man said, with another person pointing out the light rail service helps the environment.

UK: Police investigate commuters who dragged Extinction Rebellion protesters off train roof

The British Transport Police have announced they are investigating the commuters who pulled Extinction Rebellion protesters from the roof of a tube train earlier this week.
Officers from the BTP said they are looking to speak to a number of tube passengers over the “vigilante-style attack” at Canning Town station which saw James Mee, 35, and Mark Ovland, 36, dragged off a Jubilee Line train.
Eight XR protesters were arrested as a result of the action but British Transport Police have now confirmed that the commuters involved are also being investigated - MailOnline reports.
A BTP spokesperson told The Sun: "As officers continue to investigate the incidents at Stratford and Canning Town, anyone who witnessed what happened, or who has mobile phone footage is asked to get in touch."

Hero in scrubs

Another video of the hero in scrubs, as seen from above.
I'm worried for this guy. He's 100% in the right, but they can probably charge him with something over this. The scrubs make me think he works at a hospital, but he might just be wearing them to conceal his own clothes - protecting his identity as he asserts his right to get to work. Hope he's okay.

Destroying other people’s property is against the law (unless you are a leftist protester, than anything goes). [Phone was still functioning, appeared to end up under a vehicle.]

Throwing her phone was probably not a good idea, but with the new footage from above, it appears that she tried to hit him with the phone in her hand, at which point it fell on the ground, and he then picked it up and threw it away. His legal defense could say that he was attacked and simply disarmed her.
