Uggh huge argument over Ron Paul in household today

So basically my dad makes my mom (Who I converted into a Ron Paul supporter) take an online test which questions you on certain issues and projects which candidate you mostly agree on. She came up with Hilary (long time democrat my mother was), and my dad went off that she is not voting for who she believes in and is only voting for Ron Paul because of me. We start arguing about the war, abortion, and everything inbetween and how if it wasnt for me she would not be involved. I said that was true but she is not going to switch her party affiliation after 30 years because I told her too. It ends up with my parents arguing and my dad storming off. I swear it seems we can never have an intelligent political discussion in this household. People get upset and cant hear another side of the story. I guess my dad wont be voting for Ron Paul but my Mom and I will come Super Tuesday in California. Just needed to vent guys...
 
I heard of a quiz like that that asked "Would you support a woman for president" and if you answered yes it would say you should vote for Hilary...

Ask him if he is enjoying the real estate crash and the stock market crash. If so don't vote for Ron Paul, since he is the only one who knows how to fix it.
 
well, you are doing your best and he will see the light......it might not be until his greenbacks arent worth much but he will come around......its inevitable
 
People who let politics come between family need to step back and take a deep breath.

The ABC poll is really good. When I am trying to convert people I just have them take that poll and Ron Paul is always top 2 usually number 1.
 
Does your dad know we are 53+ trillion in debt? each person owes roughly 170 thousand dollars ON TOP of paying their taxes.

NONE of the other candidates are doing anything about this. As a matter of fact they are all promising more "free" stuff to voters. Ask him at what point this madness will stop.

Its always me against the world here, I'm trying to forcefully impose my views on everyone wtf....

Heck, don't worry about it. I think those things are rigged. I took one of those tests and I'm supposed to vote for freaking MCCAIN.

those tests are useless. i've taken them before and gotten Giuliani, Obama, Clinton, McCain, Huckabee, etc as my #1 choice.
 
Been there done that dude, it sucks. At xmas eve dinner my bachelors or higher degreed family was trying to convince me and my mom that RP is a fringe candidate who has no idea what hes talking about.

They are indoctrinated. Luckily even my mom saw it. My cuz flat out admitted you can get flunked in 4yr colleges for 'leaning libertarian'.

Closet socialists and they dont even know it hehehe
 
There is online quiz where I always come out Ron Paul. Can't recall what it is.
