Uber Massive News Media Email List - Copy & Paste Version

When I use goDaddy, it says "missing email column" when I direct it to ionlyknowy's .doc file. I read the help file on the website, but I don't understand how it wants the email address to be formated. Do I seriously have to it like: "Doe, Jan [email protected]"? There isn't a mass emailer that can use documents seperated by colons or commas?

If you want the list in another format just let me know, I have it in vertical format, or horizontal separated by comma or semicolon... you pick..

did you rent space on a server?

and did you download a mass mailer program?

It is a little more involved,.... you have to set the options in the mass mailer program also, like the SMTP server address and the Pop server address. Do you know how to do this?

should we email bush and demand him to uphold the constitution for once and make sure media does not influence or manipulate the election????????? mmwwaahaahaahaahaa

Is there a way to send this quickly with a Yahoo account? I'm told there are too many email addresses. I obviously could put in less at a time, but would like to avoid that timely process.

to do this you would have to rent a server from a place like godaddy.com...

your SMTP server through yahoo only allows a certain amount of email per day. They do this to avoid spam and people bogging down their servers.

Then you would have to either use a free version or purchase a mass mailer program that allows you to send bulk amounts at one time.

You can find a link to the software on page 2 of this thread!

Uhm, no to the server question, though my girlfriend has a virtual shared-hosting account, if that counts. The mass mailer I'm using is the aforementioned "GoDaddy" program. Though every time I try to send, it states that the "To: list is missing an "E-mail" column." I couldn't find anything in the help site it directed me to, but, then again, I'm not sure what I'm looking for. My e-mail savvy is shamefully ignorant. I just used my ****@gmail account for the "From:" - ionlyknowy's .TXT file for the "To:" - and a word document for the message. I'm guessing I've done something foolish wrong, haven't I?

Not really sure what the godaddy program is?

godaddy.com is where you go to rent a server to host a website. NOT to get a mass mailer program.

Steps you need to take:
1. buy a domain, and server rental from www.godaddy.com
create your email through your new server.

2. download one of the programs that are listed in the link provided on page 2 of this thread.

3. find out the address to our SMTP server, which should be your new godaddy.com server. Then enter this address into the mass mailer program under options

4. enter the POP server (which is incoming messages) This should be your gmail or yahoo type account.

5. send the emails.
