On Thursday, the Senate is set to pass the "Gang of 8" amnesty legislation. The bill provides for legalization of 11 million illegal immigrants in 6 months and contains a host of provisions promising to secure the border sometime in the future. There will be three votes today to pass the legislation.

The Senate will convene at 9:30am to continue debate on the amnesty bill. At around 11:30am, the Senate will go "off" the bill to vote to confirm Anthony Foxx as the next Transportation Secretary. After that vote, the Senate will vote to formally adopt the Schumer-Corker-Hoeven amendment as the Committee substitute to the Gang of 8 bill. This vote requires a simple majority.

The Bill:

-Grants immediate amnesty to 11-15 million illegal immigrants and their dependents (estimates of up to 33 million during the next decade).

-Ensures the mass firing and displacement of up to 1 million unskilled, low-wage American workers from their jobs by exempting amnestied immigrants from Obamacare and thus employers from any fines.

-Creates a decade of lower wage growth and more unemployment according to the CBO's own estimates.

-Caps the number of 'guest worker' visas thus ensuring a steady flow of MORE illegal immigrants into the United States and even greater problem further down the line.

-More than doubles the number of H1-B's from 65,000 to 150,000 a year for Zuckerberg and co.

-Authorizes up to $40bn to be spent on border agents at some time in the future with no guarantee's of "secure" border.

-Creates a slew of new bureaucracies, regulations, fee's and fines.

-The potential for a national ID card under the guise of "e-verify" meaning an already out of control government can bar anyone from jobs or professions.
