Yeah... looking through the article, it's interesting that they've been gradually ramping these numbers up since before 09-11-01. Just like so many other unconstitutional activities by the government (bailouts come to mind), they figure if they start out slowly enough, it isn't very long at all before the general population accepts a full-fledged totalitarian system, all the while continuing to believe "it's a free country."

The average American who watches news such as the Mumbai Massacre will find it welcoming to have US Soldiers patrolling the streets. You know, the same ones that have 3 combat tours in Iraq and has a much larger body count then you can imagine. It'll make us all safer.

I can never bring myself to patrol American streets. Why do they need active duty soldiers deployed IN America? Why not just.... not deploy a National Guard unit to Iraq?
