U.S. is out of gold. Dealer reports.

I was going to go to my local coin store last friday, i was shocked to see that they had closed shop.

Guess he figured he'd take his investment and run with it.

Not really. Coin dealers are coming under more and more scrutiny for reporting their Customers. Privacy is a key cornerstone for them.

Yea i hear ya but, I have such a kickass hiding place for my metals, that no matter what information they take, they'll never find my gold after they sell it to me.

OK. I'll bite. Where is it? ;) Did you hide it in their vaults?

It's not about them finding you. It is about the government finding you. If they want to confiscate it, all they have to do is go find you. Then it's fingernail pulling time...

This is worldwide. You cannot longer buy napoleon 20 frank coins in brussels. The french keep them for themselves. This is the first time that happened

My wife and I have already agreed that if they come looking for mine we're telling them that I had a drug relapse and I traded it all on crack and hookers.

Haha, good point.

Guess i better arm myself too

Any reason not to buy scrap? That's what I do to avoid paying a premium. Harder to sell when the times comes. Or maybe not . . .

So, if one can find gold, what is the best way to buy it?

Having never purchased gold in this way before... what is the preferred coin?

If you have the money should you get 1 oz. coins, 1/10 oz coins, bars?

Blanchard had Krugerands as of last week. Monex claimed to have $1,000 face value bags of 90% silver. It's getting harder to find.

you mean they sold all of the gold they stole from the World Trade Center???!!! I thought that would last a lot longer than this...tsk tsk
