So some guy called LEOs in the area, they didn't confirm or deny anything. That doesn't debunk the story. What debunks the story is somebody driving to the ranches in question and shooting pictures to show everything is OK. MSM has squashed stories before along w/ LEOs when its a federal matter. They'll deny it until they can control the situation.

I'm amazed that nobody has driven to said ranches to see what's up. If they've tried and this is really happening, you won't be able to get near there. Unfortunately I'm not in the vicinity or I'd go and find out for myself.

I mean, really... 2 days of viral on the internet and we have *nobody* on the ground that can confirm or deny?

The only deniers right now are the ones that said "I called the police and they said nothing is going on." That's not exactly a reliable source anymore...

So you are saying if you were in TX, you would hop in your car and try to get pictures of ranches that were reportedly taken over/held by ruthless drug cartels? That doesn't sound like a great plan to me.

So perhaps some people have tried to find out what is going on along the roads to those ranches and instead were intercepted and held so they could not get back to make any comment on the situation. You never know what is happening when no one is able to go to the scene and report back again.

Uhh... the whole thing is ridiculous on its face. And the police didn't "neither confirm nor deny," they confirmed that there was nothing to report.

Texas is not under invasion. Los Zetas have not declared war on America/Texas, nor seized 2+ ranches near Laredo.

BTW, whomever has been leading you through this story by the nose, consider reconsidering the value/validity of the information they provide you with in the future.

(I think I read somewhere that people were tying the source back to some Minutemen leader in San Diego--failifornian, go figure--or something like that.)

Funny though that so many here apparently support the Obama administration's efforts to expand the federal occupation of the states' borders. Not terribly surprised.
