We'll see if this turns into something.

BREAKING: Cops Shoot and Kill Man on LIVE TV, Say He Was Reaching for Something

Houston, TX — A high-speed pursuit through the northeast side of Houston, Texas ended tragically Wednesday morning. Police officers shot and killed the man who tried to flee. The entire scene unfolded on Live TV.

The chase began after officers attempted to pull the vehicle over and the driver refused to stop.

According to Click2Houston,

The vehicle exited on Wallisville Road, then the driver eventually crashed into multiple vehicles and stopped near the intersection of Castlegory Road.

Several officers then jumped out with weapons drawn. The driver got out of the vehicle and it appeared he reached back into the vehicle.

At least one officer opened fire and the driver then appeared to fall to the ground. The Harris County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the suspect is dead.

It is unclear at the moment if what the driver was “reaching for” was a gun.

The man’s identity has yet to be officially released, but family members arriving at the scene say the man is 41 years old and is the father of three, with another child on the way, according to ABC 13.

We will update this story with details as they unfold.

Not to get off topic but its practical to share this report given the “reaching for” and "I feared for my life" speak that is so common. There is a reason that it is common...

Cops trained to justify use of deadly force – former US Marshal

The training says that, whenever you use deadly force, you have to be able to justify it. So to justify it, you have to say either I feared for the safety of myself or the safety of the public, and that this person was an extreme danger to either party,” Fogg said.

“You have 10 days to think about your story, get your story together. You hear from other detectives, what they came up with, and then you come up with a line that is pretty standard that says, ‘This is my justification,’” he said. “And most of the time, the public is going to go with my ‒ as a law enforcement officer, they’re going to believe me.”

Given the fact that cameras are catching this stuff now, that gag won't work much longer.

It will definitely turn into something. I imagine the media is covering this so much now to get Boobus to call for a federal takeover of the police in this country. Washington can change their shirts from blue to brown and march them back out on the streets to pillage for their new masters.

Pursuit policy was followed(which is endangering everyone). The cop is shooting towards a car that just got hit by the suspect.... SAFETY FIRST.

Yikes. Leaving aside the driver for a minute, what about the people in the silver SUV behind the guy getting shot and killed?

Maybe TV news shows decided to up their ratings by getting into reality TV without telling anyone about it, expect these cops who knew they were being recorded in the latest "reality TV" segment for their local news. They were probably given immunity and a share of the profits if it was a ratings hit.

Or it could just be business as usual for cops except this time it is on live TV.

There could have been an occupied baby seat in the SUV's passenger side back seat. Fire at will WTF?

Nobody panic.

"It's all part of the plan."

Not the first time...and they are always "reaching for something". A few years ago we had a car chase here that ended up with the car being chased crashing into another car and killing the driver. The people in the car were being chased for shoplifting.

I can almost guarantee that it will be something similar in this case.

The guy ran because of a suspended driver's license or some nonsense.

The mere act of reaching for “something” does not warrant summary execution. The threshold for use of force standards is in dire need of raising. The resort of mere excuses, including: “fervid movements”, “fear of personal safety or the safety of others”, “reaching for waistbands or something”, “questioning or ignoring commands”, “zombie or monster like statures”, “grabbing for side-arms or Tasers”, needs to be placed under serious scrutiny.

Circular Force Continuum.

I've been ranting and raving about this for years now.

For those who do not know what that is...

ETA - Gonna make a new thread about that.

Word now is that the cops were told that there was a child in the car they just lit up.

Didn't stop them.
