Two we have lost.

Ah geeze man. I come online and get happy seeing that we finally win a state to the point that the media can't lie and say we lost it, and then I read this. :( Anyhow, thanks RPH for posting this anyway. It is important to mourn the loss of family.

I'm glad they knew the about the truth of liberty and were able to fight for it in their life time. It was such a noble cause and they both have left a worthy legacy in that regard.

I will until my last day be thankful that Dr. Paul persisted in spreading the message of freedom and because of him four years ago I came to know that truth. I feel like we were kindred spirits in the manner that those who recognize the value of freedom share a common bond.

I am sorry for these two freedom fighters the movement has lost and will pray for their families. May they rest in peace.

Thanks for sharing this. I have always wondered how many RP/liberty supporters we have lost along the way, and I'm glad to see somebody take the time to share a little bit about these two.

I think a better use of a chip in would be a "Liberty Scholarship" fund in their names or something.... One to an older person, one to a younger person? Award it at the festival in Tampa in memorium????? I'm off the cuff here...

Awful... RIP
Best of wishes to their family and friends..
Too bad they never saw Ron Paul become president :(

Their sacrifices and hardworking will be continued through us. I'm now inspired even more

Let's win it for our fallen brothers!

My favorite poem for times like this. So much so I had it read at my mother's funeral:

"The Day Is Done" by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.

The day is done, and the darkness
Falls from the wings of Night,
As a feather is wafted downward
From an eagle in his flight.

I see the lights of the village
Gleam through the rain and the mist,
And a feeling of sadness comes o'er me
That my soul cannot resist:

A feeling of sadness and longing,
That is not akin to pain,
And resembles sorrow only
As the mist resembles the rain.

Come, read to me some poem,
Some simple and heartfelt lay,
That shall soothe this restless feeling,
And banish the thoughts of day.

Not from the grand old masters,
Not from the bards sublime,
Whose distant footsteps echo
Through the corridors of Time.

For, like strains of martial music,
Their mighty thoughts suggest
Life's endless toil and endeavor;
And to-night I long for rest.

Read from some humbler poet,
Whose songs gushed from his heart,
As showers from the clouds of summer,
Or tears from the eyelids start;

Who, through long days of labor,
And nights devoid of ease,
Still heard in his soul the music
Of wonderful melodies.

Such songs have power to quiet
The restless pulse of care,
And come like the benediction
That follows after prayer.

Then read from the treasured volume
The poem of thy choice,
And lend to the rhyme of the poet
The beauty of thy voice.

And the night shall be filled with music
And the cares, that infest the day,
Shall fold their tents, like the Arabs,
And as silently steal away.

I'm so sorry for the loss. Things like this touch me very deeply, and I'm at a loss for words right now.

Thank you for posting RPH. Life is indeed fleeting.

My eternal thanks to the families who share their moms, dads, sisters, brothers, grandmas and grandpas with this cause.

Posts like these make it all pretty obvious how blessed we are to have such dedicated folks in this movement.

Their spirits live on

and as some posts above suggest, are more than likely still striving for liberty

blessings and inspiration for these intrepid men
