"You are resisting and unlawful order." That tape made my blood boil. I love how the cop makes sure he is out of video shot. The cop stop a college student prior and came to the drivers side, but with Sandra Bland he went to the passenger side. He also states that she wouldn't look at him--and she was mad. Un-freakin-believable. :mad:
 
That Sandra Bland deal stinks to high heaven. Matter of fact a few months ago a white guy also "hung himself"
in jail there in Waller under suspicious circumstances.
 
The problem with this stuff, is we see it ... we publish it, but we forget it. There will never be justice for this woman ... The Government counts on the fact, you will forget within two days, maybe three days.

The director of Oscar-nominated civil rights movement film 'Selma' has claimed that police footage of the arrest of activist Sandra Bland has been doctored.

Director Ava DuVernay claims that the video of the arrest of African American Bland, released by the Texas Department of Public Safety yesterday, shows clear signs of being altered.

Texas DPS authorities have confirmed that they are looking into the allegations that the footage had been edited.

The dashcam video shot from the police patrol car shows state trooper Brian Encinia pulling over 28-year-old Bland for failing to signal a turn, followed by a confrontation between the activist and officer.

Ms Bland, from Chicago, was found hanged in a Waller County jail cell three days after being arrested and charged with assault on a public servant.

When and where?
The moment it's discussed, people will be rounded up and shipped off to a gulag.
The end result is, nothing will go down, other than meaningless riots, and then we'll collectively turn our focus to the mother who is hitting her son for rioting and forget why they're even doing it.

That is odd, they were very quiet when Miriam carey was executed in broad day light near the US lawmakers civil rights deliberation boxes.
DGP also decdided to remain tight lipped according to news then.
 
Until the cops fear ANYTHING, nothing will change.

They do not fear the people and they do not fear their bosses, what will change? it wont.

Stand up or get stepped on.

Oh they had a protest march here a few days after it happened. You have to understand too, Waller is a very small town in a rural area so people had to travel at least 40 miles from Houston to get there. It's the same people who think only black lives matter. No one did anything when the white guy died in the same jail. So while I do think the cops are lying through their teeth, I get annoyed that people use this as yet another race baiting incident. I have no doubt these cops cover up and tamper with evidence. I can't imagine the Texas Rangers would but we'll see. These types of things that bring on calls for federal intervention by the justice department don't do anything for local and state autonomy.
 
Why is it the fact that she is black make the crime more alarming? You never see "Unarmed White Women..". How about "Unarmed American...".
 
I just realized it was a state trooper. Some of those guys are real jerks. I had one stop me and measure my window tint one time.

Tom Vinger, a spokesman for the Department of Public Safety, blamed a "technical issue during posting." He said that the department was working to correct the video.

At several points, the video repeats itself or is cut, while the audio continues uninterrupted. The department posted the video to YouTube

Authorities in Texas said Wednesday that a technical glitch, not intentional editing, caused the irregularities in a 52-minute dashcam video of the traffic stop and arrest of Sandra Bland, who was found hanged in her jail cell three days later.

None of the irregularities in the video appear in the 14 minutes that show Bland's arrest and the confrontation.

But in one section of the video, a tow truck driver walks toward the trooper's cruiser, then out of the frame, then reappears and completes the same walk seconds later. In another section, a white car appears, disappears from the frame, then appears again.

On the morning of July 13, Bland was found hanging from a partition in her jail cell, a plastic trash can liner around her neck. Police have said she killed herself.

Her death has raised suspicions among her family and become the latest rallying cry among activists outraged by the treatment of blacks by law enforcement.

Steven McCraw, the director of the Department of Public Safety, told reporters Tuesday that the trooper did not comply with procedure, including by failing to let Bland know what action he planned to take and by failing to be courteous and professional.

The trooper has been placed on administrative leave.

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- An inmate has been found dead in a cell in downtown Houston.

Houston police say they got the call a little after 1:30pm. They say the inmate appears to have hung himself in a cell at facility at 61 Reisner.

Police are treating this as an in-custody death.

Interesting things to note:

The jail was already under investigation for another in-custody hanging that recently took place.

In the footage related from within the jail there appears to be a male inmate (in an orange jumpsuit) walking around the area of Sandra's cell--a crime scene and presumably female only section of the jail. Also the video seems to lack a timestamp.

Sandra was a BlackLivesMatter activist.

There is a rumor circulating that somebody involved with this case or the jail (not sure who exactly) was recently terminated from a high ranking LEO position at another local agency due to racist affiliations.
