I was doing sign waving with a huge 8x4 sign during rush hour near a very busy intersection close to where I live. I've been doing sign waving every day with a few exceptions Monday-Friday during rush hour for the past two months. Two men in a car asked me if I had bumper stickers. I had to run back home and quit my sign waving (it was going to get dark soon) to get a couple of bumper stickers. When I gave them the bumper stickers they told me they watched last night's debate in South Carolina and decided to support Ron Paul after watching it.

Some members of this forum were discouraged by RP's performance in the debate last night but here's proof something good came out of it.

Thanks for sharing. Believe it or not, I passed out 14 bumper stickers to one fellow leaving a newt event in myrtle beach yesterday. He said him and his co-workers all support ron paul, but he wanted to hear what newt had to say. Very cool feeling isn't it!

Thanks for sharing that news. Very cool!! Did they happen to mention what Paul said that did it for them?

I forgot to ask, they were not parked and in the middle of the street when I gave them the bumper stickers. I didn't want them to get a ticket.

People get too worked up over some things. The time for the "Idea" has come. Nothing can stop it.

We have been seeing the momentum increase since August. I am no longer surprised to see people coming around. The tipping point has been reached.

If I had to wager, I would guess they supported his fiscal conservatism but had reservations about his foreign policy.

His speech last night about defense spending vs. military spending where he said that spending a billion dollars on an embassy in Iraq bigger than the Vatican is not defense spending, it is wasteful spending... and the part about how Clinton closed down all of our domestic bases and built overseas bases and how he would bring the troops and our resources back here to defend our country all got a LOT of cheers from the audience.

Eventually people wake up to the B.S. falling out of the other candidates mouths every time they open them and even if they don't see eye to eye with Paul at first, they will recognize his authenticity and superior character..

+Rep for sign waving!

Setting up that dichotomy between him and Clinton is what he sould have been doing all along.
