Elon Musk announced on Monday that he is considering suing the Anti-Defamation League to clear the X (formerly Twitter) platform's name.
This comes after news broke that X is still down around 60 percent in US ad revenue as the ADL continues to put pressure on its advertisers to skip the wildly popular social media platform.

Musk claimed that the ADL has been trying to see his platform destroyed through asserting erroneous claims that both he and X are "anti-Semitic."
The tech mogul additionally stressed that he is "pro free speech, but against anti-Semitism of any kind."
The ADL has posted articles on its website accusing X (formerly called Twitter) of continuing "to host antisemitic threats and tropes."
These remarks from Musk come after ADL CEO Jonathan Greenblatt made a post to X about a meeting he held with the CEO of X, Linda Yaccarino, pertaining to problems of so-called 'hate speech' on the platform. Hashtags for #BanTheADL started trending on X following the meeting.
Raichik and others who oppose the ADL's political ideology celebrated Musk's suggestion that he will uncover information allegedly used by the to justify its advocacy for an ad boycott in what he described would be a "giant data dump."

Musk said that the ADL had been a large contributor to the platform's drop in profits, alleging a $4 billion loss. This, Musk said, is giving them the "maximum benefit of the doubt."
Libs of TikTok said that the ADL’s requests to ban and censor X accounts it deems anti-Semitic will go public next week, and created a hashtag for #TheADLFiles, referencing the "Twitter Files," facilitated by Musk after his takeover of then-Twitter.
Musk said that because advertisers generally try to avoid controversy, "all that is needed for ADL to crush our US & European ad revenue is to make unfounded accusations."
