Twenty-Five Ways To Suppress Truth: The Rules of Disinformation

Th way to defeat the Enemy is by knowing their battle tactics.
The way to defeat an enemy is by getting more votes than them, not mass producing tinfoil hats.

Yes, they are against us. So put your head down and work harder. Paranoia doesn't help the campaign.

the enemy has billions on top of billions of dollars and lifelong free advertising (CNN, fox news etc)

we have 6% of the population, maybe 1% who actually REALLY care, and very little collective money to work with. because we are the minority, no matter what we do, we are the "kooks"

(18) Emotionalize, Antagonize, and Goad Opponents ~ If you can't do anything else, chide and taunt your opponents and draw them into emotional responses which will tend to make them look foolish and overly motivated, and generally render their material somewhat less coherent. Not only will you avoid discussing the issues in the first instance, but even if their emotional response addresses the issue, you can further avoid the issues by then focusing on how 'sensitive they are to criticism.'

Example: 'You are such an idiot to think that possible -- or are you such a paranoid conspiracy buff that you think the 'gubment' is cooking your pea-brained skull with microwaves, which is the only justification you might have for dreaming up this drivel.' After a drawing an emotional response: 'Ohhh... I do seem to have touched a sensitive nerve. Tsk, tsk. What's the matter? The truth too hot for you to handle? Perhaps you should stop relying on the Psychic Friends Network and see a psychiatrist for some real professional help...'

Proper response: 'You are avoiding the issue with disinformation tactics. You attempt to draw me into emotional response without discussion of the issues. If you have something useful to contribute which defeats my argument, let's here it -- preferably without snide and unwarranted personal attacks, if you can manage to avoid sinking so low. Your useless rhetoric serves no purpose here if that is all you can manage. Why do you refuse to address the issues by use of such disinformation tactics (rule 18 - emotionalize, antagonize, and goad opponents)?'

This article is very helpful. Anything that helps us think more clearly and identify propaganda, disinformation, and logical fallacy is worth spending time on.

Claiming this is somehow "tin foil hat" is actually #5: Sidetrack Opponents with Name-Calling and Ridicule

A complimentary article is A List Of Fallacious Arguments:

And HOW do we get more votes? By knowing what their attacks are and being able to counter their attacks when canvassing and talking to people in general. Its not paranoia, its a fact. They dont want people to know about Ron Paul. So, we get out and tell people about him.

Well thats a defeatist attitude. We get more and more people ready to help with the campaign each day. The media sure does have one hell of a head start, but we're putting up a great fight.

So proven ways to suppress the truth is now tinfoil hat territory?

Knowing how and why never hurts.

I posted this to help organize thought on how they are fighting us. I think that's a valuable tool.
Plus, how can you win people over to vote if you can't articulate a clear reason to resist their methods?

Thanks for this VERY insightful and informative post. Everyone should read it. Know your enemy and know your weapons.

We are in a battle for our lives --- and our weapons are our words.

"One who knows the enemy and knows himself will not be in danger in a hundred battles; one who does not know the enemy but knows himself will sometimes win, sometimes lose; one who does not know the enemy and does not know himself will be in danger in every battle."

"If our army is at full force and the enemy is divided, then we will attack him at ten times his strength; therefore, we are many and the enemy few; if we attack our many against his few, the enemy will be in dire straits"

"The place of battle must not be made known to the enemy; if it is not known, then the enemy must prepare to defend many places; if he prepares to defend many places, then the forces will be few in number; Therefore, if he prepares to defend the front, the back will be weak; if he prepares to defend the back, the front will be weak; if he prepares to defend the left, the right will be weak; if he prepares to defend the right, the left will be weak; if he prepares to defend everywhere, everywhere will be weak."

Yea, I'm a big fan of Sun Tzu...

The only way you can defeat your enemy is if you know your enemy and yourself. If you watch Edward G. Griffin he explains this very well(Google him hes an author and is on the list of people endorsing Ron Paul on their website.) . This is very important info thank you for posting it.

Edit- Thank you Bryan for posting above I believe you got that quote from Edward G. Griffen that is exactly what I was referring to. (I think he just quoted most of these of them from the very smart people who came up with them however long ago)

Remember knowledge is power.

Really interesting article on how to suppress the truth. See anything you notice about how Ron Paul is being treated?
This is important and to deny it is either to have your head in the sand or have an agenda. There is, in fact, an agenda in the media to marginalize and silence Ron Paul and his supporters. Any honest reporter in the MSM will tell you so. This should be a crime in any free society. The media is a public trust. Check the link.

Excellently done.
I get that rule 18 treatment all the time.:)

I swear, those of you who insist on parroting the phrase "tinfoil hat" are ridiculous. Do you also run around saying "electability, terror, electability?" You must think Ron is a 'tinfoil hat' wearer, since he has already made statements about biased media, the NAU, and the new world order.

I would rather be one of the 300 spartans than the many of thousands that died that thier few spears.

It's best not to respond when some1 resorts to name-calling. They will figure things out when they're ready.
