I was at the Los Angeles phone-bank and I was in a calling North Dakota, talking with a gentleman that was completely against Ron's foreign policy. After a little bit of a conversation with him and earning credibility with charm and facts, I convinced him to give me his email and I told him exactly what I was going to send him and that after he watched them, he would understand and cannot wait to vote Ron Paul.

I sent him various videos to watch like Michael Schuer's endorsement, ROn's predictions, and I like Ron except on foreign policy.

Shortly after, he emailed me back, said it was all very impressive, that he donated to the campaign and is now researching more.

The lesson here is you went off the awful script...

To be honest, I TOTALLY went off script, we weren't supposed to be going for anything less than Ron Paul supporters and I will be one of the first to say what I did was wrong and we need to stick to the TARGET.

This does not MEAN everyone should be going off-script. It is there for a reason and it is safe (especially for newbs, like I once was). I have tons of experience phone-banking for RP so I felt I could handle it.

I think authenticity and personality are world's above any script in sales. You need to get to know the caller and tailor the message to them.

Another tip that's subtle but can help other people to trust you, (especially important when calling to other parts of the country,) match the pace of your speaking, to the person you are talking to. I.E. if you are in NJ calling someone in TN, slow yourself down. And if you are in MT calling someone in NJ, speak way faster than you are accustomed to.

Really the key to making a sale over the phone is to relax, let your personality shine through, find out enough about the person you are talking to, so you can sell them the appropriate product (or in the case, what angle of Ron's platform will win them over.)

It was all about the setup, what I thought really worked was building up the suspense of the information I was about to send him.

I don't think it would be a bad idea if most phone from home people asked if they could send them "some info". Stress no spam, just a one-off email. And copy this email and use it to send to those who agree.

All you have to do is just ALLOW them to see and hear Ron's position. That is all. Most hear it from MSM/Faux/CNN/Rush etc.. so it is deeply skewed.
