Text: H.R.8285 — 116th Congress (2019-2020)All Information (Except Text)
As of 09/22/2020 text has not been received for H.R.8285 - To amend the Help America Vote Act of 2002 to prohibit payments under such Act to States which permit ballot harvesting, and for other purposes.
Bills are generally sent to the Library of Congress from GPO, the Government Publishing Office, a day or two after they are introduced on the floor of the House or Senate. Delays can occur when there are a large number of bills to prepare or when a very large bill has to be printed.
Background: H.R.8285, the Election Fraud Prevention Act would amend the Help America Vote Act of 2002 to prohibit payments to States which permit ballot harvesting.
Currently, depending on the State or locality, voters have the option of mailing their ballot, leaving their ballot in a drop box, having their ballots collected and submitted by a third party, or returning them at the polls or a local election office.
The Election Fraud Prevention Act ensures that voters seeking to turn in their mail-in ballots may only be assisted by an election official or mail carrier acting in their official capacities as well as family members, household members, or caregivers.
We're so stupid.
The fact we need to introduce a law to prevent voter fraud says a lot.
Tulsi Gabbard

Banning ballot harvesting is not a partisan issue. It's been used & abused in states like North Carolina and California & is ripe for fraud.
That's why I intro'd HR8285, the Election Fraud Prevention Act w/ @RodneyDavis - to protect the integrity of our elections & our democracy
Leftists on this site are trying to promote the least of the leftists by pointing out one or two things that they get right.
What's new?
Which is hilarious since republican trumpkins do exactly the same thing. Literally the exact same thing.

On topic: Her bill is good though, except that I foresee that the push to eliminate any paper voting mechanisms, such as early voting mechanisms, absentee ballots, etc is merely to usher in the federally controlled blockchain electronic voting system that the USPS has already developed and patented. As always, create a problem then offer the solution...
No kidding.
I admit, I like her cause of her war stance and her ability to bullrush her way through some of the most hypocritical things her Democratic colleagues do, but I don't think I could actually vote for her.
Most libertarians are nothing more than anti war pro pot and LGBT. If only Rothbard was still alive
Hawaiian orange surfer bad.

@realDonaldTrump Despicable. Offering to place our military assets under the command of a foreign country—Saudi Arabia—is a disgrace and betrayal of my patriotic brothers and sisters in uniform and to our Constitution. We are not your prostitutes. You are not our pimp. pic.twitter.com/Cu1OewEMOC

Her attacks on sitting POTUS were too blunt.
Tulsi slams Trump as Saudi 'b----' , 'We are not your prostitutes. You are not our pimp'

Your skepticism is very healthy when it comes to Tulsi, try applying that skepticism to every crook nosed politician. And ignore anyone who tried to tell you that you are experiencing a Tulsi derangement Syndrome.
I completely back a ban on ballot harvesting not because it will hurt Trump but because it will bring about cheating that would making it impossible for American people to ever throw out the rascals and elect good constitutional folks. And if there is no poison pill in it, I'll support the bill
So far, the text of the bill haven't been posted on the official house website. But the text below is on her website which I support wholeheartedly...

Trump is more good than bad, Tulsi is more bad than good.Exactly.
Everyone should honor Trump for a "step in the right direction". Anyone else that does it is evil........!
