Trying to convince my wife

I guess my take is that the pet care industry is huge. People pamper their pets and free markets allow for all the cute outfits better quality dog food. It also is effected by boycotts by animal lovers who only eat dolphin safe tuna and don't do animal testing. Our relationship with China has poisoned dogs.

On a bigger scale just think who many animals will suffer when their owners are broke and have to decide to feed their kids or their dogs. Fido is going to suffer from the falling dollar as well.

Exactly!

When humans have no rights, I bet that animal rights will be the least of their concerns . . .

(by the way I have 2 cats that are treated like spoiled babies and are members of my family, but when I lose my rights, I am afraid that they will suffer too.)
 
Animal rights? If I think about donating any more money my wife is going to revoke my right to stay in the house!

Honestly though? States rights issue.
 
How about we try answering his question, instead of telling him what his wife should be concerned with. His wife has the freedom to be concerned with what she chooses. Telling people that the things they care for are not valid concerns is a sure fire way to lose votes.

I agree but who is to say what is important to someone? If she loves animals that her choice and it is important to her.

I love how everyone here is trying to tell her what to think. Way to promote liberty and freedom.
 
Well I think that she said Fred was one the people who helped in the getting rid of "tethering" or something to that effect. And yes, I understand there are larger issues than this; however, if it is on the wife's mind, than as her husband its my responsibility to get an answer.

And she said "Quote, they piss me off, I will vote for that friggin pig thats on the ballot each year, at least I know where it stands on animal rights" :D :D

I think animals are considered private property. Ron Paul is for strong private property rights.

So this goes two ways, if you kill my dog your going to pay for it... But, as long as your state allows, you're still allowed to raise chickens.
 
Ask your wife what her stance is on the 59 trillion dollar debt and the rapidly declining dollar.

Her question (which I couldnt really answer and maybe ya'll can). What is Dr. Paul's stand with animal rights? :o


sorry, I don't know that answer directly -- didn't find it on RonPaul2008.com, either. but the more important question is where does he stand on people rights! and we all know the answer to that! Freedom! none of the other candidates of either party can match him in that, but I'm sure that you already knew that.

p.s. great idea on the deer picture - I had a great laugh! it does give a direct answer to the question. remember it was a vital sign pronouncement, not an attempt to recusitate by the good dr.
