Hello Dave,
It was nice to meet you yesterday. I think that disagreement is the best way to learn. Though, we don't agree on excluding or including certain people, I do agree with you that: "Yes we can" is not the most potent slogan we can come up with. Someone else said: " The only Real Republican" and I really liked that but, that turns off the Dems real quick, and we need the Dems in order to do this.
Just to brain-storm a little: I think that there are two types of people: Freedom producers and freedom consumers. I think a possible slogan could be:
"Ron Paul: Freedom Producer" (or Freedom Provider)
or "Ron Paul: Straight-Shooter"
or "Ron Paul: Can't Be Sold" or "Can't Be Bought"
Anyways, I think you make a good argument about political-suicide. I don't think that a campaign should be run on theories. It should be run on facts. To tell about myself a little bit: Everyone should know that I hate George Bush; and how many times have we heard Bush say: "I think that nothing improper has been done" Well obviously, nothing is improper to Bush. Lying, cheating and killing are all considered proper for Bush. So I don't care about his theories. And, when he says: I don't think that free-trade, will cause loss of American jobs, that's his erroneous theory. There is no fact or historical example to back it up.
I don't know who did what, on 9-11 but, it was covered up. I don't think it is our most important issue right now, though. I think we should concentrate on the future and the campaign. If 9-11 truthers want to join, let's just tell them that their opinions are valid, but we are not concentrating on that right now. We have to come together on some common issues and make compromise. I have several theories that I am keeping to myself because it's not the time or place for them, right now.
