Sort of. Regular Trump or store brand Trump.

Pence, DeSantis or Trump. Mild, medium or hot.

So far, mild is out, medium is far from popular, and even though they're spicing up the hot with every indictment they can fit in the jar, everyone's talking about the Indian curry.

I don't think the spice level is different, more that DeSantis is just an imitation of the real thing, and not a particularly good one at that.

He's even copying the negatives like Trump's vanity, hence the high heels.

With the media giving poor, poor Donald Trump more free publicity than the other presidential candidates combined, it’s obvious who the deep state’s favourite president is…
Even at the last presidential debate, the only candidate with a serious chance to become the Republican candidate, Ron DeSantis, was almost ignored by our wonderful media, while Ramaswamy and Haley got all the media attention.

Now in retrospect it looks to me like deep state insiders Elon Musk and David Sacks (both of the Peter Thiel led PayPal mafia) sabotaged DeSantis’ presidential campaign launch in May…

The live stream began on Twitter with audio chaos, and crashing Twitter apps.
Only after 25 minutes, Ron DeSantis was able to declare his bid when most viewers had already stopped listening: https://www.theguardian.com/us-news...residential-campaign-launch-twitter-elon-musk

Agreed, in private though he does try to let prospective donors know that he isn't reckless like Trump, but his own performative actions run counter to the story he is trying to sell them. And yet the MAGA people are able to see through the actions as performative. It's really kind of funny how he tangled himself up and somehow ended up alienating both sides. More and more it's looking like he's getting squeezed out by Trump, Haley, and even Vivek.
