Honestly it wouldn't surprise me if DeSantis turned out to be a red herring and a fall guy just like McCain and Romney were to Obama.

He also comes off as Obama 2.0: A lot of hype but turns out to be complete shi​t.

Yeah, don't get me wrong... There's a lot not to like with DeSantis. Especially on foreign policy.

But here you have a loser with a bruised ego going after a winner. If there was one thing Republicans like, it's someone who's seen as a winner. Hell, I'd even go as far to say the establishment set it up for DeSantis to look like the big winner coming out of the midterm... Just to get rid of Trump. But even given that, Trump sounds like the biggest cuck with that release.

It has been quite a trip from calling me an idiot because I couldn't see CNN heads sploding over Trump to calling Navarro accusing DeSantis of cheating "being pushed by the Bush wing of the party", hasn't it boys?

So, let's take stock, shall we? 50% of Republican voters still think Trump's the real deal and DeSantis is a Bushie, 50% have eyes to see Trump's actual record, but think DeSantis might do something different, 98% never bothered to pay enough attention to know who Massie is, 100% are played. And the Deep State doesn't give a rat's ass which one wins because they're both completely reliable once you make a big enough campaign contribution. Presto! A GOP so divided against itself it can't even do something about crooked elections.

I was astounded, amazed, and horrified at the story. To me, this is probably the story of the day.
 
I spoke to a previous Trump supporter today. He said that Trump's attacks on DeSantis have soured him on Trump. Trump is losing support by the day.
 
A lot of people keep saying DeSantis proved that Trump is a drag on the party.. That is not true. The difference between Florida and the rest of the country is that Florida does not have universal mail in voting and they have sound elections. They have also benefited from a huge red migration to their state due to the covid lockdowns.

And I'll keep saying it because it's probably true.. DeSantis, as great of a Governor he is (in comparison to others.. DeSantis should be a baseline Republican governor, not outstanding), my gut tells me if he gets to federal office, he is going to be a neocon, bought by the deep state. There is some evidence for that already.. and I hope I'm wrong.. but I will remain a bit weary.

At publishing time, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy was seen at the front door of the Florida Governor's home, begging for just a little red wave.

Meh. Trump wrote off Oz by quipping that he only endorsed the guy because Melania liked him, and the universal spin is that Trump blamed Melania for Oz's loss. This Trump bashing is just the silly game they're playing to distract people from the serious gaming of the election itself.
