I doubt that Trump voters are all that worried. Their candidate is ahead by a long run and is on the verge of sweep NY and surrounding states. Trump has been winning this whole race in an unprecedented way. It is easy to say that someone on top has nowhere to go but down, but there is a king of the mountain and someone has to actually knock him off.

They can decide to do that at or before the Convention, though.

Nah they dont have to. Even on the 1st ballot Delegates ARE allowed to sugggest another candidate, even though they are bound to someone else. Anyways, they can do it on 2nd ballot.

No, they didnt - and they cant until 2 or 3 days before the convention (and they need a chair who claims "In the opinion of the Chair the Ayes have it").

If both Trump and Cruz have 8 states - be sure that they wont change that rule.

Not really. All they have to do is keep him from getting 1237 delegates. And he's looking less and less likely to get them.

I could not get past the first paragraph of trashing Trump supporters, thought it looked familiar and then saw the site/authors name. It is exactly the same tactic he used against us. My issue is with the source. The guy has a history of trashing Ron, Rand and us. He actually banned discussions of Ron Paul at Redstate at one point.

You have been here long enough to know this. Yet you continue to post articles from left wing blogs, Progressive think tanks and now an author open hostile to us. We are supposed to take it as credible???

I do not have a problem with him disagreeing with Ron and Rand on policy. But stuff like this is uncalled for.

You can do a google search, there is allot of history of articles attacking Ron, Rand and supporters. For brevity I will just post from tweets but a google search will yield much more from him and Redstate.

See, Trump voters might not be regular Republicans, but they’ve watched Republican elections before. And they have believed Trump’s repeated prophecies that, as other candidates dropped out, Trump would get some portion of their support.

Trump was definitely wrong in his prophecies, but the fact that establishment candidates have consolidated their support around Cruz actually incentivizes me to want to support Trump more. That's probably not the effect the author intended, but so long as this is a race between the media RINO lapdogs trying to salvage neoconservative power and bragging rights within the GOP, versus Trump, the guy everyone hates—I mean, the choice is getting clearer with every one of these threads that CPUd starts.

Sorry CPUd, but it's not hurting Trump, it's helping him. These threads that show Trump faltering only work on voters that will only support candidates who they know will win.

They don't really phase the voters who use their votes as middle fingers. (me)

(I mean hell, if we all only ever supported people we know will win, then none of us would have even given Ron Paul a second look--not saying Trump is Ron Paul, but the circumstances and political landscape are similar, and I've still got a giant basket of "Fk you's!" to hand out to the GOP ruling class)
