Trump & the Constitution Party -- split

Well since Trump said he would run as a 3rd party if Ron ever got the nomination, then Ron should return the favor and actually do it if Trump gets the nomination.

Because, a desperate disease requires a dangerous remedy. Our movement has been systematically blocked three straight times at the Presidential level by a kingmaker establishment, and the Trump phenomenon has acted as a dangerous remedy for that disease. To build the new palace we want, sometimes you have to put a wrecking ball to the bad existing building first. We don't expect pretty policy from a wrecking ball, but strength and impact, so Trump's rhetoric should be thought of mainly interim empty gestures (like much of Rand's compromise campaign rhetoric).
So just ignore everything Trump says and support him anyway because anti establishment?

No, just keep in mind the same principle that we did for Rand, that in the current political environment finessing issues by making "strong" statements is part of the game. Much of the time Trump knows his statements are empty gestures (as when he admitted his threat of a 35% tariff on China was just a bluff), but serves to signal "strength" to assure the masses, while completing a policy shift to an America first emphasis.

But when we account for pandering, and consider what Trump really supports deep down, that makes him worse than he sounds, not better. For example, there can be practically no doubt that Trump's actual position on healthcare is nationwide single-payer, and that any of his recent attempts to sound like he isn't that socialist any more are just his attempt at winning over Republicans in their primaries. With Rand, it makes him better, rather than worse.

So here is the one thread about the Constitution Party and Darrell Castle on the whole forum, and what are we talking about?

I think the polls would change if people understood the sore loser laws. I know right now it shows that if he runs 3rd party people will support him but that will change dramatically once they know that the odds are stacked against him if he runs third party. Lots of people hate Clinton enough to vote for anyone on the R ticket. This is the one thing you can bet on.

Why should there be sore loser laws if the political parties "are just private organizations" without government help propping them up?

You described me and it what I have been saying here for months, hoping CP would put a good candidate or have Trump on the ballot for the reasons you describe.

Everything after the word "or" in your post makes no sense.

I don't really think Trump's stances are genius, but he certainly knows what some people want.

I realize some people agree with Trump when he gushes that Eminent domain is an absolute necessity for a country, for our country. Without it, you wouldn’t have roads, you wouldn’t have hospitals, you wouldn’t have anything.

I realize some people disagreed with Ron Paul when he said Trump is a dangerous person

I realize some people want to send 30,000 troops to Syria.

I realize some of you fall in love with any man who says he is "the most militaristic person that you will find."

I realize some of the American people agree with closing that internet up in some ways. I know some people cheered when Trump said that that Somebody will say, 'Oh freedom of speech, freedom of speech.' and agreed with Trump that these are foolish people.

I realize that some people faint with adoration when a presidential candidate calls for Edward Snowden to be executed.

I realize that some people clap when a guy says that single payer health care works well in Canada, and incredibly well in Scotland.

I realize some people are anti 2nd Amendment, and want a gun ban for those on the no-fly list.

I know some people think waterboarding is fine but not nearly tough enough.

I know some people want to "bomb the hell out of them".

What I don't understand, is what those people are doing on this site.

Allow me to enlighten you. But first, it's worth noting that you just joined this site in 2014, so frankly, you're in no position whatsoever to question what I'm doing here.

Realize that your country has been completely taken over by bankers and their crony friends. Grow a pair and then accept the sad reality that before there will be any kind of "liberty", power must first be ripped away from the oligarchy and that they will do everything in their power, including using fear to brainwash fools like you into believing that Trump must never be allowed to become President...

Trump's rhetoric doesn't scare me. It's obvious that his rhetoric is crafted in a way to appeal to the broadest possible audience, and that includes the morons who have for decades been brainwashed by the 1-2 punch of a controlled MSM and academia, but who have just now started to become aware that the system is bullshit and that they are being manipulated by TPTB; People who are starting to now wake up (unlike you) and realize that the system is totally corrupt, completely rigged and definitely not working in their interest. His rhetoric is the "red meat" that cuts through the BS and hits the nerve necessary to rally the people behind an effort to overthrow the establishment. But even if he has designs on implementing the talking points that have your panties in a twist, don't worry: He will be kept in check by the constitution and the corporate puppet masters who control congress and the senate and who will look to undermine him at every step of the way.

To answer your question, I'm here for the same reason I initially joined this site. Freedom. Right now the parasites who control not just the U.S. but virtually all western governments must me rooted out, and as sad as it is, Trump represents the only opportunity to achieve that goal this election cycle.

I too dream of a Ron Paul leading all countries out of the bondage of the banksters and their crony friends, but from a pragmatic point of view, you unwittingly undermine your own cause of "liberty" by rejecting this opportunity to take the executive brach away from your oppressors due to fear of the alternative.
