Trump Sold-Out His Base to Shovel $95 Billion to Ukraine and Israel

Let's see what else is funded in this bill that Swordsmyth is cheering on/making excuses for/however one prefers to spin his behavior...
That's a lie and you know it.
I made no excuse let alone cheering for any part of the bill.
I explained Trump's modification to something he also opposed but knew would pass in spite of his opposition.

IMHO, Trump would sign every huge spending bill put in front of him. It's what he did last time. It should come as no surprise.

"I'm signing this Israel, Ukraine, Taiwan slush bill, but I don't like it." Turns around, shakes hands with McConnell and Schumer...

Maybe he needs to not have veto proof majorities opposing him.

And this is supposed to convince me Trump's worth a damn because...?

Maybe he needs to not have veto proof majorities opposing him.

Maybe he needed to veto more than one bill in four years and make the crooks work a tiny bit for their bribes.

Interesting. So the only way Trump will not sign disastrous legislation is if he has a veto-proof majority?? Leaving aside the fantasy premise that he would actually be good if he had unchallenged power, you know that's NEVER going to happen right?

So even in your own delusion, you need Trump and a veto-proof majority. Feels like you lost the script.

Doesn't the English language have a word for that? Isn't that the definition of derangement?

Here's your real-world Orange Messiah, folks. They say the third time's the charm. His first attempt laid all the groundwork that got us here. Inflation, trashed economy, The Jab of Severe Illness and Death. The second will be the slow turnaround and by His third term He's bound to figure out how to realize His potential.

Too bad that pesky Constitution limits presidents to two...

Oh come on. Let's all be honest here and admit the truth. Trump is a man with ZERO principals! None, nada, nothing. About the only thing he cares about is himself. He's willing to go against his "base" on the COVID vaccines because, frankly, he's proud of that "accomplishment." And when it comes to funding for Israel his "base" is split. LOL at SS for claiming that Lindsey Graham gave Trump credit for helping push this through to "hurt" Trump. Nope. It's to save Trump for the wrath of the Zionist faction of the Teocons and for Lindsey to pat himself on the back for saying "I told you so" to anyone who's been attacking Lindsey for being a warmonger. Lindsey doesn't hate Trump. He's come to Trump's defense on multiple occasions. Lindsey loves war and to the extent that Trump will go along with war mongering, Lindsey is happy to "forgive and forget" Trump not doing "shock and awe" on Iran after Iran shooting down a U.S. drone in exchange for Trump killing the Iran nuclear deal and an Iranian general who was in Iraq as a guest of our Iraqi allies. Lindsey is smarter than most in that he knows how to stroke egos. This was a win for the neocons but so was Rand Paul signing the Tom Cotton letter years ago. Only there have been far more moments like this for Trump than for Rand.

Yeah, we've heard that excuse before. He should veto the bills on the 10th day.

And that does not even address whether he actively fought against these bills. He didn't. There are plenty of things he could do.

Now when someone insists on a vote on major legislation and the swamp doesn't want that vote, Trump did do something and threatened the person calling for a vote. Trump was a good doggy.

Learn to read, all he needs is enough of a minority to uphold a veto.

Had Republican majorities in both houses his first two years. They didn't do $#@! that conservatives wanted done.

I got a really nice tax cut. Even then they had to fight through reconciliation process to get it through the Senate. Thank you, Trump! There are many other accomplishments, but you probably don't care for me to list it out.

Too bad spending wasn't cut to match. People might be able to afford groceries if they hadn't printed money instead. But you probably don't care to think about that.

Gee, I wonder where that eight trillion dollar deficit came from...? Caught up to us, didn't it?

Duh.
The RINOs were an integral part of the veto proof majorities that we have to get rid of.

And yet Trump did wheel and deal to get many conservative priorities done, you pretending otherwise won't change that.

We can trust Republicans fix everything, and if they don't, it's because Republicans aren't all Republicans, but we're better off voting for "Republicans" anyway. They tell prettier lies.

Yeah, I've heard. I just don't know in what parallel universe that prevents us from getting into this mess.

Like enriching the banks (especially the ones who own the Fed and have a license to print money) and the MIC (did anyone ask for a sixth branch of the military?)...

Um, like, people who were there at the time, like Thomas Massie, said the only reason Democrats and RINOs got to vote on it at all was because Johnson did a completely unprecedented steamroller on the members of his own party in the committee. According to this guy Whitney who wrote the OP, Trump helped him do it.

So, yeah, Trump seems to have made it possible for a completely insufficient number of Republicans to vote no as it passed by. Er, like, yay?

Yes it violated the Hastert Rule. It's not the first time this Speaker has done that, either.

I've heard otherwise. The term unprecedented is being used. Don't know if that refers to the violation of Hastert or the way he completely betrayed the committee members of his own party.

In reality you didn’t.

Hope he just put it in the bank. It's worth half as much now, and more than half the printing that caused it was Trump's.

He sleeps better at night convincing himself that he did.

Rand, Cruz, Lee, Massie, Amash. They all voted yes to pass the tax cut and jobs act. They would continue to call it a good thing today and will vote to make the tax cuts permanent next year before they expire, provided Biden is voted out. I'm more in line with the political advocates of these forums than ya'll are. All of them will endorse Trump in the general election against Biden. Looking forward to when ya'll cry and bitch about it.

Whatever whatever… I go by the overall record, not just a select one or two which becomes negated by all of the horrendous damage the others caused, and certainly not just because person x happens to endorse somebody for the sake of party unity.

I do not condone or support Fascism. Period.
