No it isn't. They should never become "federal dollars" in the first place. Let taxpayers keep it available for city or county school boards to access, or (God forbid!) parents to spend on schooling as they see fit.
You people are just like Democrats. You don't care that people who need the money to do the job are exceptionally lucky if they get 25% of what the government stole for the purpose. Even if you have so damned much faith in your GOP gods that you actually think it won't be used for tyranny, say, no grubby federal fingers in education at all because inefficiency!
Republicans are such cucks that they don't even want to eradicate ED. Jesus help us.
I agree that the money should have never been taken, but that’s not under Trump’s control. He’s doing what he can as the President, which is essentially “look the government took your money, and now it has to be spent as directed by congress- we are just going to do whatever it takes to make sure it’s not being wasted or abused by unelected bureaucrats.”
The whole point of this is to get the slimy fingers of blue hair freaks away from the endless theft of education money. Return it to the states, as much as possible. That’s as close to a Ron Paul position as we can get in this current situation, and anyone who cares about shrinking the influence of the federal government should be at least on board with this as a starting point. My opinion is that those who can’t even acknowledge that this is a good step in the right direction are being intellectually dishonest or just downright stupid. If that’s the libertarian position, you can’t go acting all surprised when nobody takes you seriously. These rants by some here are indistinguishable from the liberals posting on blue sky.
