Trump offers all 2 million federal workers the chance to take a “deferred resignation”

BREAKING: Trump administration to offer all 2 million federal workers the chance to take a “deferred resignation” with a severance package of eight months of pay and benefits. 5-10% of the workforce is estimated to quit, which could lead to around $100 billion in savings.”

Does Trump realize that this plan removes all of his supporters from the federal workforce?

Trump is doing some good things but my early impression is he's penny wise but pound foolish. For example the iron dome.

Still early though, let's see how much the debt goes up in the first year.

DOGE should add a line-item to the Form 1040, like the election fund: "Would you like to donate to the Federal headcount reduction fund? ___ Amount you would like to donate? ____" The funds would then go to a severance fund and DOGE could use those funds to pay Federal workers to quit. Target by years-of-service and length of resume (total damage done) --- the longer they've been around, and the busier they've been, the worse they are for us, and the sooner they need to be eliminated. Like reverse corporate headhunting...
