Trump launches anti-Massie Super PAC, pledges to campaign against Massie in KY

Remember when Trump called Massie a "third-rate grandstander"? Ahhhh, those were the days! Even when Trump was at his least (which was most of the time), he nevertheless managed to be entertaining.

But now, he's just lazily (and boringly) repetitive.

Being a "lame duck" has significantly degraded the quality of his vituperations.

It truly is a sad thing to see his invective become so tediously feeble and pathetic.

Rand - who might be the least “nasty” person in DC, was elected 6 years before POTUS was, and won re-election by 25 points. He votes 90 percent with his party and the other ten percent it’s because they’re spending to much or taking your freedom.

Literally nothing in that tweet has any basis in reality.

Senator Paul was a huge "secret weapon" for Trump 1.0 once the two of them achieved an understanding after the 2015 presidential primaries.

Paul was a big boost to Trump when the rest of Congress - especially Republicans - would rather see him in the dock. He stuck his neck out for Trump, asking nothing in return.

He stood by President Trump through the insane impeachment garbage and even with the J6 garbage.
He NEVER turned on Trump even though it would have been politically expedient to do so. Paul could have made big points - and probably raised big money - by piling on Trump when Trump was under attack.

He refused to do so.

And this is how Trump repays such loyal friendship.
I have never seen anything like it in all my years in politics.

Maybe Lindsey Graham will comfort Trump when the midterms bring a new round of moronic impeachers. But then again maybe (hopefully) Lindsey will be in the same sinking boat.

Paul and Massie will have better things to do - like putting America first.

Sherman's reporting is accurate. I've spoken with several people about this myself.

The people who told the President that these fights with Massie and MTG were wise—because they will make a ton of money off of them—have put the President in serious political danger.

Most members are NOT America First and have always been waiting for an opportunity to betray him. There are several more seriously considering resignations and the House Majority could be gone before the midterms.

After four years of house prices doubling (and in some areas, tripling) many young people feel priced out of the American Dream of homeownership. A welfare fraud scandal in Minnesota reveals that large numbers of new arrivals aren't assimilating and are funneling our tax dollars to literal terrorist groups. An innocent woman was set on fire in Chicago as the mayor resists federal law enforcement resources to bring peace to one of our great cities. The Obamacare insurance system is buckling under its own weight. And the country is $38 trillion in debt.

Our administration is working hard on addressing all of these problems.

But you know what really fires up the beltway GOP? Not any of the above. Instead, the political class is really angry that the Trump administration may finally bring a four year conflict in Eastern Europe to a close.

I'm not even talking about the substance of their views. Much of what these people have said about the Ukraine war has been proven wrong, but whatever. We can agree to disagree.

But the level of passion over this one issue when your own country has serious problems is bonkers.

It disgusts me. Show some passion for your own country.

Just like Ron Paul.

Always hated in the present moment that is filled with tribal emotions…

But always proven right when the dust has settled.

Massie already has a consistent track record of being right; which will continue.

Not because these two men have superpowers…

But because pointing out the failure of tyrannical government policies is very easy to do.

Yet despite this ease, very few people have the courage to stand against the slings and arrows of tribal emotions.

Tim Pool told me it’s because of Candace Owens investigating the death of Charlie Kirk and doesn’t have anything to do with the Republican Party’s cover-up of the Epstein files, support for Netanyahu and the War in Gaza, bombing Iran, giving TikTok to Larry Ellison, minimal progress on MAHA, the failure of DOGE, failing to cut the budget, abysmal deportation numbers, supporting more H1-Bs, importing 600k Chinese students, saying Americans aren’t capable of filling enough highly skilled jobs and attacking the most reliably conservative Republicans like Thomas Massie while supporting Deep State neocons like Lindsay Graham.

But who knows, maybe none of that matters and Candace really does have the power to single-handedly tank Trump’s approval rating and take down the entire Republican Party.

Article on the state of the race so far. Thomas says in the article that a "pro-Massie super PAC is spending a million dollars on ads right now in the congressional district". I haven't heard anything about that so I wonder who is behind it.

Thomas Massie says he’s ready for pro-Trump onslaught in 2026

Kentucky Republican faces tough primary fight against president’s pick

By Daniela Altimari

Thomas Massie has long portrayed himself as an unflinching fiscal hawk in Congress, willing to publicly tangle with President Donald Trump on everything from spending bills to foreign aid to the release of records related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

But over the next five months, Trump’s allies will project a different image of the Kentucky Republican as they seek to convince voters in his deep red 4th District that their congressman’s vaunted independent streak has curdled into deep hostility that jeopardizes the Trump agenda.

Leading the charge will be Ed Gallrein, a retired Navy SEAL officer who has the president’s blessing as he challenges Massie in the Republican primary.

“People feel betrayed,’’ Gallrein said in a phone interview between chores at his farm 30 miles east of Louisville. “He celebrates being a disruptor … chasing fringe issues, [but] he’s using very deeply flawed logic that voting against conservatives and with the folks that are driving us off the cliff into socialism somehow helps the people of this district.”

Gallrein’s campaign has been on a bit of a slow roll since Trump endorsed him four days before he officially launched his run on Oct. 21. But it kicks into higher gear this week: On Monday, he released an introductory video that touts his four Bronze Stars and his work on his family’s farm — and also provides a preview of his line of attack against the incumbent.

That is curious.

I hadn't heard anything about a pro-Massie SuperPAC either. And I still can't find out any more from googling after reading this article.

Thomas Massie, facing Trump’s opposition, gets a hand from billionaire megadonor

Jeff Yass, a longtime backer of Sen. Rand Paul, comes to aid of Kentucky Republican in primary contest with president’s recruit

FRANKFORT — A super PAC supporting U.S. Rep. Thomas Massie has won crucial backing from one of the biggest Republican mega-donors — a man who has the wherewithal to offset millions of dollars that Republican President Donald Trump is trying to raise to beat Massie in the spring primary elections.

That man is Jeff Yass, who recently — and indirectly — gave $1 million to a new super PAC that in recent weeks has been advertising in support of Massie’s reelection, according to records filed with the Federal Election Commission. Those records show Yass has set aside millions more in what could potentially be used for additional independent spending to help reelect Massie.
