No it's not... the idea of nation states that are independent was imposed by the United States. That's where the modern country of Iran was created.
Roosevelt was also thinking past the defeat of Germany and Japan. He wanted both Churchill and Stalin to sign onto his vision for a very different postwar world, with the Big Three plus China serving as “four policemen,” empowered to keep the peace. He brought with him plans for the United Nations.
Before that empires had vassal states.

They said they aren't our enemy, none of them are.
Izrael has done their best to turn their enemies into our enemies, to coerce us into fighting their wars.
Which is why Izrael deliberately attacked the USS Liberty, an act of war, meant to be blamed on Egypt.
And why they committed 9/11.
In 1953, the Iranian government was overthrown by our CIA via Operation Ajax.
In 1979, the Iranian people finally ousted their American installed dictator.

In 1953 Iran was still paying back the west for liberating them from the Nazis and the Soviet Union.
Then the grandson of Theodore Roosevelt went to Iran and made a deal with their Monarch government that helped us win World War 2 to use their constitutional authority as a Monarchy to dissolve the democratic government.
They did that because that was the deal we made with them to liberate them. That's the government we imposed into power in World War 2 because Stalin didn't want to leave Iran they wanted to keep it.

It wasn't nonsense. Stalin refused to leave Iran after world war 2.
The only reason why they did is because Truman threatened Stalin.
Truman mad dogged the hell out of Stalin.
He threatened the Soviet Union with Nuclear weapons and thats why World War 2 "ended".
Otherwise the defeat of the Nazis and Japan and Italy wouldn't have ended it.
Stalin would have just went on to take anything they wanted.
Stalin and FDR had competing visions for the world post world war 2.
Stalin wanted spheres of influence or basically vassal states.
FDR said we weren't going to allow spheres of influence and that we would have a United nations.
The Soviet Union refused to join the United Nations until after they lost the Korean war.
The cold war continued all the way until 1990.
Iran was part of the "free west" from 1945 to 1979.
The Soviet Union was part of the "Soviet east" bloc.

He went there when Iran "invited" the allies into Iran to defeat the nazis.
I say "invite" in quotes because in actuality the allies went into Iran and took it from the nazis.
Iran provided oil to the allies to help win the war and FDR imposed the idea of an independent Iran after World War 2.

Our CIA would disagree with you.
According to the CIA's declassified documents, they deposed the government of Iran for two reasons:
1. For the benefit of Izrael.
and
2. Because Mossadegh stated that he wanted to nationalize their oil industry.
If you have still have an issue or disagree with this, take it up with the CIA.

Eisenhower ordered it. It was part of Eisenhower's strategy of peace through economic containment of the Soviet Union.
The idea was to keep the price of oil low so that the Soviet Union couldn't afford to take over the middle east.
The monarch of Iran understood the idea of not getting invaded by Stalin again.
Democracy doesn't work when the majority are fools the fools rule.

Iran better concede and stop enrichment. They don't sound believable at all when they say they will amp up enrichment and expand unnecessarily, yet at the same time purport not to be enriching for weapons. If they just wanted nuclear power and medical, they could have that with the consortium or even on their own again someday if they just play this smartly. They don't sound smart to me, not yet.
So, I'm hoping they change their minds by Sunday.
The prospect of their BM's falling on Israel does not ingratiate me because I know that if Israel is in danger, multiple nukes will blow Iran to smithereens and possibly hundreds of thousands or even millions of Israelis would get refugee status and more from the U.S. and some others.
I don't want them here. I don't want to see Iran nuked, either. I don't want to see the Holy Land beat to crap.
The Israelis who don't want Israel destroyed and oppose a discretionary first strike against Iran, I sympathize with them also.
Is it wrong to demand this of Iran? Of course it is - but this is the unavoidable reality. Israel says No and they mean it.
Our country stands ready to defend Israel. That is the truth. Like it or not.
Don't be stupid Iran. Concede and shut down enrichment fully.
This is what Putin and Xi should be telling the Ayatollah.

Israel has launched what it is calling a "preemptive strike" against Iran and declared a state of emergency, according to Defense Minister Israel Katz.
