Mayor de Blasio on Sunday blasted Donald Trump for the GOP 2016 front-runner's suggestion that he could shoot someone and still be elected president, calling the bombastic billionaire "not ready for primetime."
"It's incredibly insensitive," de Blasio said on ABC's "This Week" about Trump's comments. "We had a moment in our nation's history we're talking about how to deal with the scourge of gun violence. And for someone who says he wants to be president to say that, it shows he's just not presidential."
"It's incredibly arrogant, too, for him to suggest that his voters will be with him no matter what he does," de Blasio added. "You know, this is another indicator that Donald Trump is not ready for primetime."

Sen. Rand Paul (Ky.) ripped into Republican presidential rival Donald Trump on Monday, accusing the outspoken celebrity front-runner of having "delusions of grandeur."
"I think a little humility, a dose of humility, might be good for him," Paul said during an interview with CNN's Carol Costello after the host noted that Trump stayed in a Holiday Inn in Iowa over the weekend.
"But I'm actually worried about the opposite," he continued. "I'm worried that his narcissism exceeds nothing and that his delusions of grandeur have him saying that he can shoot people and people will still vote for him. I hope that's not true."
